That is so depressing

Even if they don't get divorced, they should. Married women are so miserable.

Porn IS real. What's fake is the women pretending to enjoy it. They're not. They're being raped.

Hmmm somehow young women are never attracted to old men with no money

Def not picky enough, but still hold out for someone who doesn't watch porn. I'm would even say that him bringing up porn in the first place is really weird. Men only think porn is bad when they get PIED, not because they care about how it affects women. I'd prefer a guy who never watched it in the first place, rather than the creeps who are like "porn is bad because it ruins love blah blah blah" (translation: broke his dick). This is probably what happened with this guy.

Ahh same! I so glad it's not just me. I'm 29 and only had 2 crushes in my life. I'm sooooo not impressed by most men. Still can't over my current crush even though he's taken. Please, someone help me!

I wonder if this is just a church thing. Since most people would want to marry someone with the same beliefs as them, looking for love at church seems sensible, although people trying to set you up seems annoying and rude. Religious people seem more desperate than others to marry off their children. I remember reading an article ages ago by a Jewish woman who was in a situation similar to yours, only worse since where she lived there were hardly any Jewish people so she knew them all. I've had t…

"You still don't have a man." Is finding a man difficult for these women?

Smart women are too smart to settle for them. They probably tell any women dumb enough to settle for them that they're smart.

And I really feel sorry for mum, she really has no self-esteem. She really thinks my dad is good, even though she cries to me every time he hurts her feelings.

My parents are verbally abusive. They think they're good people because they're not physically abusive. It was still traumatic for me growing up in a house with shouting all the time.

I always love reading your posts and comments, it sounds like you have a wonderful relationship. It really gives me hope that there are men like that out there.

I'm gonna disagree with the sister thing, because my brother has 3 sisters and is a complete tool. He's one of those men in their 20s who date teenagers. And the most HVM man I have ever met is my sisters husband who has brothers but no sisters. Also they're the same age. I think my brother really seems to hate women because he was always surrounded by them idk or maybe he's just like that.

My brother-in-law. My sister told me once that he apologised for getting angry when he was tired. He used to get up really early to go to work so got tired and when to bed really early. She was really confused because she didn't even remember him getting angry. She said that when he gets tired he just gets "crabby". This is very high value behaviour for me because I find most males are very aggressive and certainly won't apologise. So it's pretty amazing that this guy is apologising when he thin…

I'm an autistic woman and I agree. I'm uncomfortable a lot of the time because I feel guilty asking people to change things for me. I also choose not to put myself in situations where I would be annoying people. I really don't want to be a burden. But it sounds like this guy is the opposite. Men expect the world to revolve around them, so I couldn't stand being with one who was disabled. And yes women with any form of disability are more likely to experience domestic abuse. In Australia there wa…

This why I will never understand why people mock single women. I respect myself too much to let just any man in my life. Women like this are the sad ones.

Actually that was something I thought of when I read this. For people with adult children (17 is nearly an adult) it's a lot different.

How you feel about older people with adult kids? Because I feel like a lot of these points won't apply then.

"Imagine what the average woman puts up with. Now realize these men are worse than the ones still married." Wow. I need this on an inspirational poster.

This is so true. But also SAHMs are often the lonliest people. Even if you're in paid work, having kids means less time for friends.

Awesome! But don't do his laundry. Don't do anything for him. You know he won't do the same for you.

It sounds like you have a brain in your haid. I wish more mothers were like you. Too many make excuses. They think their precious little angels can do no wrong!

Agghhh I hate when people tell you not to be picky about dating! You shouldn't be picky with things you need, but you should ABSOLUTELY be picky with things you want. It's terrifying how people think romantic relationships are necessary. Even women! I really worry about the self esteem of women who think like this. Probably trying to convince themselves their relationships are good. You should be as cautious as possible when choosing a partner! I'm so glad you've seen the light because so many w…

I'm seeing lots of comments about the good things that he has said, but I would ask you all to be wary of men who virtue signal and brag in public about taking care of kids blah blah blah.

I really hate "jokes" like that, because I have seen that there are HVM that DON'T make those jokes, and actually hate them. It's never just a joke.

Not true. Women ARE attracted to men, I certainly am, BUT the second part is also true. It's harder for women to realise they are gay than men because of this. And it means that women who ARE attracted to men will settle for some loser she's not attracted to. Women are more picky than men. (I'm nearly 30 and I've had like 2 crushes in my entire life.) Also I think "women aren't attracted to men" is used by rapists and men bad at sex. It sounds dangerously similar to "women can't have orgasms". A…

The other side of this is that men love to take advantage of vulnerable women. Disabled women are much more likely to experience domestic violence. I'm glad you've realised you're not missing much! I'm autistic and I'm very skeptical about romance given my social awkwardness. It would be very easy to manipulate me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
