Yeah I got the impression that was about where you were coming from. I can appreciate the discomfort making a perspectival shift like this can cause. But I also think the "smart feminists" are significantly outnumbered by the airheaded reactionaries and I think it's worth at least pointing that out and keeping it in mind. I think this is a more generous read than most feminists deserve. Not necessarily incorrect, but I think plain old, self-interested prejudice and tribal thinking can account for the hypocrisy of many feminists. Also if we go with the "practicality" argument, my response is I'll accept that when we also have a birthing and mothering draft.

I think this is true for a lot of women but God damn do I just wanna vent about how frustrating it is to finally realize how much better at empathy we are than them.
