Right, my bad. You’re right, merit can align with race, it’s entirely possible. I just mean that it’s rare for it to line up with forced diversity quotas if that makes sense.

Idk man. It’s not any one persons responsibility to change impressions or make people understand shit like this. Personally if this happened to me I’d just want it over and done with. There is no good that comes from taking a risk and putting your past out there for everyone to see indiscriminately. Sometimes it’s better to just let dead cases lie, I feel.

I don’t think they’re saying it’s something that is a bad idea because it should t happen, but probably because it’s somewhat unattainable and there are ways to circumvent the need anyway. I.E. just don’t walk around shady areas at night.
