1	How is tinder a waste of time? (My experience) It's working for you because you are young, and you are good-looking. Some people seem more attractive in photos than they are in real life, some people are just very attractive all round, some are more attractive in real life than they are in their photos, and some just objectively aren't that attractive. If it's working for you, it means that you fall into one of the first two categories, so by all means carry on.
