Sadly, there is no political will to do it in this country, and people who advocate for it are condemned, belittled, and ridiculed for it. The painful hypocrisy is, Female Genital Mutilation is an easy win legally in America, but if you try to pair it with Male Genital Mutilation, suddenly the hypocrisy is in full force.
