Really cool idea. I can understand how hard divorce can be for kids so hopefully stuff like this ensures that it is carried out in the best way possible for the kid and that both parents are prepared for custody.

While it is generally down to men, it is down to some men. Not all men are like that and they didn't need telling to be decent people, they just were. The majority of abusive men come from a bad background where they will perhaps be encouraged into abusive or mysogynistic behaviour by parents, making this billboard redundant. People are nice. That's not something that needs teaching. Empathy, equality and generosity are instinctive.

Honestly... I agree with them. While I wouldn't go as far to say it's exploitation, it does make young men expect so much from their sex life and, in turn, force women to conform to a select body type and behaviour in the bedroom. Here's the plan: Get a really high paying job. That's literally all you can do. You have no legal protection. What you do need to do however is make your feelings very clear to this girl, perhaps even make her believe that you'll not offer her support (you'll be forced to by law but it may still make her rethink her decision or at least make her respect yours.)

Hmm. Well, it would depend on the seriousness of his actions. Were his actions clearly more serious than hers, she would likely have been let off and he would have been treated appropriately depending upon his actions. If the two actions were similar, I guess both would have been let off but she certainly would. Provoked attacks (unless they are hugely in proportional) are not taken hugely seriously.

Well, morally, of course not but it's different. For instance, if I just beat up a random guy in the street, that would be really wrong. I gather he was innocent from her very aggressive behaviour. And the difference it makes is huge. It turns it from provoked assault into something altogether different. She could have gone to juvi for that or at least received a very strong warning from the authorities. But wait, she's female. For me, I want people to wake up and realise that these issues do exist.
