6	How do I stop being overly nice? I occasionally have this problem and here's a few things I've noticed and have helped me: 1) The typical advice is DGAF and you won't bee "too nice". This is very doable until you really like the girl, then its pretty tough IMO. If you can not become very attached even when you really like a girl (or make it come off that way) for your first few weeks of dating your problem is solved. 2) there are a few things you can do to reduce the level of niceness you give off: a. Going to a bar is probably good (im under 21 so I have no experience with it). If she turned you down for studying that is generally not a great sign, although its possible she was telling the truth and is interested. I would suggest you just ask her out and see what she says. 1	A thank you to Seddit As for making a move during studying you can totally do it! I was studying with a girl today and had her sitting right next to me and checking me out. However you do not have to be alpha to get girls (gasp!). You may not get a ton but you will get some. That said when girls don't like you it's usually because you lack converation skills and/or confidence. For me it has been a mix of both.
