I think its childish to ignore your SO for days It's childish to ignore anyone for days. It's just plain disrespectful to ignore your SO for days. He's 24 so he's got another 60+ years of problems to overcome. The fact that he's not immediately tackling these problems himself (taking the lead) would be quite the red flag for a RPW. Maybe he'll wise up - maybe he won't. Are you going to be able to deal with a passive aggressive and disrespectful man that ignores you every time you hit a bump in t…

Why are you so insistent on a timeline here? I've decided I need to start looking for older men because my boyfriends (all younger than me) were just too immature. Most girls who drop that "immaturity" line do so after getting repeatedly pump-and-dumped. I realize that you haven't, but it's coming from the same place. In reality, you just don't know what you're looking for in a guy. An "older man" (not sure how old you're referring to here), won't somehow magically work out better for you. "Olde…

Overall, I'm aware that 50 percent of psych studies can't be replicated, so I take this with a grain of salt, but it's still an interesting idea. Yeah such is the state of current psychology research. Makes for some good article headlines though.

I took a look at the study that your article is referencing. Aside from its incredibly limited sample of couples (early to mid 20's, mostly college students, average income of <$20,000), it may have another issue. It seems as though the study is based off of videotaped interactions. Each individual was asked to come up with something they wanted to work on or improve (lose weight, eat healthier, etc.). The couples were then videotaped discussing their problems (wife would discuss her problem, ma…

So... should I assume that most men happy to hang out as friends are interested in more than that? Very safe assumption. If you're even remotely attractive, it's essentially a guarantee.

Courting you for a month? Didn't kiss you until a month into dating (so 2 months in, basically)? Interesting. Just based on this alone, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy a RPW would go for. Pulling into parking lots to fool around after every date? Sounds like the guys in bars who feel entitled to sex after they buy the girl a few drinks. Honestly the above, combined with his "requests", makes me think that you undoubtedly made the correct decision. My friends say he was a great boyfriend bec…

for fun or to feel like a man He did it to keep the plate spinning. It's just the game - no one's unstable simply for playing it. Guy in the OP got carried away and laid it on a little thick is all. Manipulative? Sure. Unstable? Not really.

If he's seriously contemplating marrying and moving to Germany with an 18-year-old he just met Which is more likely? Him being completely serious, or that he's just whispering sweet nothings into an incredibly naive 18yr old's ears.

It's true, but at the same time I find myself wasting a lot of time surfing websites and useless pages, so I thought maybe I should use that time doing productive things instead. I had (have) the same issue sometimes. I found this browser add-on called LeechBlock that helps a lot (think I found it on this sub, actually). Basically it blocks certain websites after X minutes of use and/or during a given time period. Pretty useful for those that spend a lot of time on a computer for school/work.

Probably important to mention, I was 18 and he was 30 at the time. That's quite the age gap. Be careful of older men who go after young girls... I'm willing to bet you aren't the first young girl he's led on like this. He was two years out from graduation and he entered a serious relationship with a girl who'd be there for four more years? I'd wager it was never that "serious" to him and he simply obliged because you stated you wanted a serious relationship. I have friends that I try to hang out…

Well, I don't really care about looks that much To me, fat = "I don't give a shit about my health". I guess he gave my 'gina tingles' since I'm still thinking about him 'Gina tingles' is much more in line with intense sexual attraction as opposed to merely "thinking about him". The idea of the wall is that it's basically a cutoff: "You will not find a high valued man beyond this point!". There will be plenty of guys like these two for you to date after you hit the proverbial wall. Neither seem h…

Guy 1: Textbook Beta Bob Guy 2: Fat guy who is a 5-6. And sorry, but he's 26. The chance of that weight coming off and permanently staying off is extremely low. What you're looking at now is pretty close to what he'd be in 10 years (if he doesn't get even fatter) You're even trying to hamster attraction here. The fact that you "can't decide" means you don't find either of them desirable. You can't negotiate desire. If you don't find them desirable now, you never will. Look, you're 20 (assuming t…

I am a working woman This is an attractive attribute in men, not necessarily the other way around. with my own set of beliefs and ideologies. Like basically everyone else? I suck at cooking. What do I do? I have tried to learn, but I can't. You can't follow basic instructions? That's all cooking is anyways - following extremely basic instructions. I really want to improve and get myself an alpha male who would want to lock me down. But how do I go about it? I'll just echo what's likely to be men…

I've obviously come across the "alpha male" phrase here. which is a man with alpha characteristics and macho looking "lots of muscle, tall, beard, very masculine While it's an understandable assumption, it's not really correct. Do macho looks always co-relate with alpha traits No. can alpha traits also be found in "pretty boy" looking guys? Yes.

Does my hetero flexibility has something to do with it? Others have said this isn't an issue at all. While I understand their point of view, I'll offer the counter. Various friends (ages 18-22 for the most part) and I have had discussions on this before. Every time its come up, the consensus has been something to the effect of: "Awesome in a casual sex/fwb situation (solid chance for threesomes) but not really worth all the extra BS for a relationship." Basically, why deal with all the extra var…

His answer was "I didnt do anything wrong we can look at every chat together I'll explain it, its "self-development" (he's a RedPill guy by the way). Sounds like a real winner. If he's willing to rationalize that as "self-development" (see, guys hamster too), can you imagine what else he may have done and felt no guilt in doing? What should I respond? Nothing. Cut off all contact. Easy. he has got lots of Alpha traits but also Beta traits. Judging by the post it sounds like his Beta traits signi…

Dude, 15 is a lot for a girl. Ya, this. Not sure how you think this is not particularly high, OP. Also the "only about 15" leads me to believe it's even higher. Sorry but I don't think you have a chance here. Not only this, but I don't think she deserves a chance here. She's had her "fun" while he's stayed committed to his beliefs/principles/morals. If he's an attractive guy, this is significantly more difficult than it seems. I really hope OP doesn't play the "lie about n-count because the past…

Are people incapable of change, in your eyes? Are people capable of changing small things? Sure. Can people change who they fundamentally are? I'd say no but I have no authority on that. Something as major as careless promiscuity? I don't think so - and the data doesn't seem to think so either. Many personality traits are genetic - which is important for the following: So many men use the redpill to do it. To do what? Change? In what way? The only change most of them ever actually make involves …

You certainly have a somewhat strange perspective - at least not one I've encountered before. I understand a dislike for things like lip fillers and implants, because those things need to be redone. Other things like nose jobs are permanent, so it seems excessive to me that a person would consider it a deal breaker. It's a one time thing then done, cannot be undone. I'm not exactly sure where you're coming from here. So you think temporary altercations are somehow more unnatural than permanent o…

LRM = Low Rank Monkey. As opposed to HRM (high rank monkey) which would be a researcher from a top 50 university. So LRM = 50+ university researcher. He's simply stating that the quality of the research is unlikely to be very high considering the universities conducting said studies are not very good. Somewhat decent rule of thumb overall if you don't want to take the time to analyze the study, but obviously not always 100% accurate.

Isn't it more vein though to demand only natural beauty? In what way is it more vain to desire a woman who's beautiful without plastic surgery/cosmetic surgery/loads of makeup? To clarify, red pill acknowledges that beauty is very important to all men. In this context, how is the preference of natural beauty to artificial beauty somehow more vain? Say I had a nose job, was dating someone for a while, they find out I had a nose job and it's a deal breaker to them? That would be disappointing. So,…

I've known a few girls who've gotten breast reductions for health reasons (back/neck pain, etc). I have no problem with plastic/cosmetic surgery for health reasons, as stated above. Minimizing attention is certainly an interesting distinction, however. One thing to note is that women who weight train and are in excellent condition (some muscle with low bodyfat percentage) rarely have natural breasts large enough to constitute wanting to "minimize attention". On average, most women who have large…

I realize that this is counter to what most people on this sub would think but I personally wouldn't date a woman who's had plastic surgery (for non-health related reasons). I think it's fairly disingenuous and it misrepresents their genetics. I would like a family so that last point is very important to me. Effort should be made to enhance your appearance and work to correct any self-confidence or self-esteem issues without getting plastic surgery. Working out, eating well, taking care of your …

I am not interested in a man's looks Do most RP women share this sentiment? If so, that would definitely change my perspective quite a bit. I think would agree that alpha qualities have more of an impact, overall, than physical attractiveness. However, I would assume that most women care about physical attractiveness in their partner at least somewhat. For instance, I would never expect a gorgeous, tall, 9/10 woman to settle down with a short, average-at-best, 4/10 (physically) man simply becaus…

I meant value as in beauty. Not a high-value man. Fair enough. One question I have would then be: What is "beauty value" and what is your intention behind raising it via makeup (and looking through other replies, it seems you'd agree with plastic surgery as well)? If you're not doing it to get a more attractive partner, then you would be interested in the same men as you would be in a world where makeup doesn't exist, no? That is, the value of men (physically and otherwise) that you're attracted…

So I've lurked on TRP (don't agree with the whole package, especially the emphasis on hookups and plate spinning, but I like a lot of the insight about the reality of things) for a few years on and off and I've just recently began lurking a bit here. 22y male if it matters. So I'm a bit new and correct me if I'm wrong here. This stood out to me: So cakeface makeup may provide them (us) with the value we desire to achieve What do you mean by this? Do you feel entitled to a physically attractive, …
