Right. One group categorised whole groups of people as second class citizens with the goal of murder, the other engages in protests to prevent discussion of mens' suicide, successfully lobby to define rape as male-only, prevent male victims of domestic violence from getting resources, and successfully lobby against recognition of fathers as equal value parents. Correct. The two are very different. You have highlighted my point. I'm not sure why comparing feminist to nazis is relevant to you. It'…

You are comparing feminist to nazi's. False equivalent. Obviously, the nazis as a whole were evil, in my opinion, but how are you conflating a group that killed millions to a misguided and overreaching social movement for women? Sure feminist have the same facial hair features as nazis but that's not a very strong basis of a comparison between the two. Surely that means that nazis aren't evil, because some had good intentions, right? I never made this argument. Wtf? When did I say, 'feminist are…

When did we go from the point of 'all feminist are evil and incapable of good intentions' to 'show me a feminist that has demanded equality of responsibility'. That's a strawman argument you pulled out of your ass because you don't want to admit that you are wrong. The burden of proof was on YOU to show me that your claim.. None. Not even one. That not even one feminist is capable of having good intentions. It's an obviously retarded claim that can not be proven because it's absurd. You may as w…

What's any of this have to do with the claim that not every feminist has bad intentions? Does that mean their intentions turn out for the better? No. My point still stands. If you are claiming (as you have) that not a single person who identifies as a feminist has good intentions, then you are a deluded idiot. If a feminist told you that all mra's are sexist bigots with not a single good intention, then they are a deluded idiot. I'll hold both to the same standards. Fucking equality, init.

Strawman argument. Feminism IS pretending to be something it's not by claiming to be an equality movement. Does that mean every single feminist has bad intentions? No. That's the same logic feminist use to say all men are this or that. Delusional.

As with any group of people, no, not all. I'd imagine many feminists have good intentions. At least I would like that to be true. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. Just being optimistic.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm in the uk, and here you get 'parental responsibility'. You don't get 50/50 automatically, and the days you have your kids after a split is usually decided between parents. If not, then you get mediation involved first before finally going to court. I eventually got 50/50 after almost a year of fighting for it and getting the paperwork going for court. Was almost homeless after the child maintenance had bled me dry, which was only involved as a way for my ex to fin…

I'm indifferent to the subject. I can understand the negativity associated with porn but I can also understand that it's 'just a job' for many in the industry. Your issues with porn seem more personal, and I think if it makes you feel that way, then you made the right call by cutting it off. It's usually not an accurate representation of intimacy anyway.

It is OK to hate people who have mistreated and looked down upon you. Fuck those people. However, it is not ok to hate an entire group of people based on bad experiences with a linear number of people from the same group. I've been mistreated by a few girls and women in my time on this blue marbel, but I've also met some really awesome women, too. It makes no sense to lump all women into the same box due to bad experiences with some women. Division is feminisms' goal, not ours.

I thought the issue was that there is a large and complex standards gap between women and men in dating. Where men have 'low' or 'realistic' standards comparatively to women.

I would argue that many young boys would not normally hear the word masculinity 'without' the word "toxic", before it. Masculinity and toxic have become almost synomonous thanks to certain ideologies. While I agree with the general idea that gendered expectations are bad, I also can't fault people who do go along with more traditional gendered roles. I didn't have any male role models growing up, and it had a negative impact on my life. I needed a manly father figure around to push me forward an…

Feminism is a far left womens superiority movement. If gender equality existed in the uk, paper abortions would exist, fathers would have more parental rights, and women would get the same jail time as men for the same crimes.

You weren't talking about statistics, you was talking about my sister 'not growing with someone her own age', then I said, there is no problem in the scenario with my sister because she has been happily married for years. Therefore, it's perfectly reasonable to speculate that someone 23+ can have a happy and successful relationship with someone at 18. Yes, the higher the age gap, the more likely it will fail. What problem? The only problem I can see from your post is your own biases. If you don'…

Bad take. An 18 year old and someone over 23 can absolutely have a lot in common. It depends on the individuals more so than their age. My sister has been happily married for 20 years to a man she met when she was 18. He's 10 years older than her. You like what you like, and if you make each other happy, then fuck the age gap and fuck the people who shame age gaps.

Women already have equal pay here in the uk. It is against law to discriminate against a group of people based on a characteristic like gender. Where I work, for example, we have both men and women working as cleaners. Both are paid the same amount per hour. So when you say these feminist are asking for equal pay, what exactly do you mean by that? Because men and women get paid the same rate for working the same job with the exception of commission based work or things like sports where men typi…

It's not as complicated as you are trying to make it with your hyperthetical. If a male dominated work force is given a pay cut to bring the mens pay down to be equal to a women's dominated workforce, purposely, for the sake of a 'wage gap', which is a feminist talking point, it's then it's most definitely because of feminism 'equality' driven agenda. If a law was passed to allow men to have paper abortions, guess what, that would most definitely be because of mens rights groups.
/r/MensRights13/04/25 08:57 AM

Right, and the management made a decision to cut pay for a male dominated workforce to be on equal terms with a female dominated workforce to pander to some made-up gender pay gap. Feminism.

The 'guy'? Always a guy. OK, let's role with your hyperthetical. The waiter snatches the chair, but why? Could of bought more chairs. No, instead, the waiter grabbed a chair out from underneath a man from a completely different restaurant and still doesn't give the chair to the lady in their own restaurant. It makes no sense. Seems like something feminism would avocate for. Maybe it's not feminism.. but always a feminist...

Sure, but if upper management made this decision based on feminist views of unequal pay, then it is, at least in part, something to do with gender. So we should be angry at feminist for the idea or angry at the management for going along with the idea? Both?

Well, I suppose it's anecdotal from my experiences and talking to a lot of women. I work in health care, which is predominantly worked by women, so I have the 'inside scoop' so to speak. People in general, not just women, have this idea of what they want out of life, including what they want in a partner, but that often does not align with their choices. I have heard and seen a lot of the 'I just want a nice guy' or 'I want a good guy', 'to be treated well', then they go off on some fling with s…

Ah, so they should be growing out of the 'be nice' rhetoric? Yeah, they probably should, but that's not easy when most of your society is pushing that rhetoric. I'm a perfect example of this. I grew up without a father or any strong male role models. I was brainwashed to think that if I'm a 'nice guy', a 'just and morally correct guy', then girls will inevitably find me desirable. Of course, that's not true, and it took me much of my twenties to get out of that way of thinking. Mainly because I …

So, as I understand it, you are opposed to the 'be nice' rhetoric pushed by more feminine institutions and / or countries? I agree. 'Just be nice' is, in my opinion, too vague and counterproductive to a child's upbringing or even as dating advice. What does 'be nice' even mean exactly? A stronger foundation I have found infinitely more useful is to build a construct of respect that is personal to you. How would you like to be treated? Are you applying that thinking and treating yourself as you w…

I can relate. Left my ex over a year ago. Things could of worked out, but she did some appalling stuff, including using our kid against me. Had to fight like hell for 8 months with mediation and only got 50/50 after filling out court paperwork. I'm pretty sure I still love her, but because of what she put me through, I could never go back. I was in a state of ambivalence, and it sucked. We should judge an entire group of people based on the crimes of a minority? Well, I guess all black people are criminals then as the stats show. In Europe, Sweden had the highest reported sexual violence in 2022 out of all European countries. Sweden is a country of rapist. Seems legit.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 10:23 AM

How is that a double standard? That's a statistical fact. I'm not going to deny the truth that the majority of those crimes are committed by men. The problem I have is the condemning of an entire gender based on the actions of a minority. More women commit baby murder. That's a statistical fact, but I'm not prepared to generalise an entire gender with some nonsensical statements. Thank you kind sir. I will give them a read once I'm home from work. At a glance, I don't see any modern studies on deaths caused by circumcision so I'm assuming it's all outdated data mostly.

See my comment above for my stance on the subject. Men should have the same autonomy in such a case as women with abortion rights. Bodily autonomy and reproduction rights are not the same thing. Bodily autonomy refers to one's body and what one does with said body. Reproduction rights are your rights to have as many children as wanted with whomever you choose with. Men have full bodily automonous rights. The argument made when abortion rights are brought up is a matter of bodily autonomy in that…

An article from 2012? Really. I've searched, and there needs to be more recent statistics and probably more research done into the matter. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC1758146/ Currently, the health benefits are still valid, and unless it's proven that circumcision does more harm than good overall, that's a shaky argument at best. None of this detracts from my original point of it being a false equivalent. However, I still believe there is a good argument to be made that these 'opres…

Conspiracy of the push back or the oppression from wokism?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/25 07:25 PM
-4

No, not at all. In fact, I checked out how many babies are circumcised in the US and it's over 60%. That's pretty shocking as I expected a much lower figure. This makes the argument a far more compelling one for bodily autonomy. However, I fear it still falls short and is a false equivalent. Abortion having life altering ramifications as opposed to circumcision which apparently bares many health benefits. It's a weak comparison at best to argue bodily autonomy.

In the USA, they would argue that men have bodily autonomy, while women's are very much under threat with abortion laws. This is accurate. However, men are forced to pay for children at the mother's behest, even if they never wanted a child to begin with. So now no one can walk away from the responsibility of children? The mother forced to have children, the father forced to financially indentured service. I'd argue that is equality. Ideally, both men and women should have an eqaul say if they w…

The double standard extends much further than these examples. For example, any statement generalising women is quickly pointed out as mysogony, but the same people who condemn such statements often use statements such as, 'not all men but always a man', blissfully unaware they are commiting to the sexist rhetoric they supposedly condemn. There are many double standards in modern society pertaining to men and women. All you can do is call it out whenever you see it and hold people accountable for…

The position of, 'not all men, but usually a man', is undefendable and obviously sexist. I think the problem stems from the standards that are set are completely disproportionate to what is offered by the demanding party. This is more prevalent in the 'dating market' such as dating apps and such due to the abundance of men in comparison to women on said apps. If there is a high supply of something (in this case, men), then it's rational to expect women to be more picky and demand higher standards. It's not just an age related problem. Right, they don't owe dates to any man. We don't owe our time or money to them. Nobody owes anything to anyone. That is just how most feminist think. No one calls them beautiful or compliments their looks, so when they see others getting such praise, they label it as 'sexual objectification' to feel better about how ugly they are inside and out.

It's not about being the villain it's about being human. Sexual attraction, confidence, money, and status, among other things, factor into your chances of having a relationship, sexual or otherwise. However, the decision to knowingly sleep with someone's partner is open to perception. Some would call it villanous. I would call it trashy and low status. I doubt most women even care if men are successful or not. Sure, I agree that sexuality is one of a woman's strongest assets, but I also feel that it is also a contributor to lower self-esteem in women due to the modern beauty standards pushed through media. Depends. It would depend on the guy if he wanted to date a now modest woman who was a 304 through her 20's. Women would be believed automatically, and men thrown in prison with no trial, maybe even executed. This is a tough topic. I would vouch more for fairness on this subject. I think, a woman should have the choice to abortion but I also think a man should have the choice if he wants to be a father and have those responsibilities or not. With the amount of contraceptive options out there, it's not fair that anyone, man or woman (especially youngsters), should have to give up their lives because of an accidental pregnancy and the state says they now have to have that child and bear that responsibi…

I'd treat her how I would want to be treated unless she treats me poorly, and then it's free real estate.

I'm sorry you had to go through that in your childhood op. Yeah, the Internet is not a great place for such personal stories. People's true nature tends to come through, unfiltered. Out of curiosity, which site was it?

So your claim is that even though women score higher in neuroticism, they are more capable of dealing with those negative emotions? Could you cite a realible source of information for this claim, or is this anecdotal? I found that their is no defining census to women and men's differences in emotional regulation. However, it is proven that women experience negative emotions more often and are more susceptible to mental health disorders, which suggests that they may not infact be better at dealin…

So, if we look at the stats in the USA (2020 stats so take it with a pinch of salt), roughly 50% of men between the ages of 18 to 30 are single, but that drops to around 27% of men between 30 and 49 and not much of a change after that. So I would say the prominance of this issue is a little overstated, but half of young men not being in a relationship is probably not by choice in the majority of cases, and I can absolutely see why this can be an issue. I surmise that is why a lot of younger men …

Seriously? Look, most would agree that lying to get laid is a shitty thing to do, but to compare it to rape is the kind of nonsense used to avoid any accountability for your own actions. Consent is consent even if under a false pretence. Take some agency and minimalise the risks you take.

Based. I was trying to find the research earlier, on men and women finding women more favourable. So the problem I see often is that men are perhaps disjointed in their goals in regard to political social movements. Women have feminism and that is (generally) the all incompassing 'womens' movement, but we as men seem to be mostly incapable of unifying under one movement. Instead, we have things like redpill, blackpill, MGTOW and other 'manosphere' movements in response to what seems to be an eve…

Your assessment is pretty spot on with my train of thought. I think context and accuracy are important, so if we were to say, construction is a male dominated field, that would be accurate as it is primarily men that work in construction. The same would apply to saying that teaching is a female dominated field. The big difference here, as you have stated, is that the term 'male dominated' is often associated with a distasteful stigma. I also think the term 'female dominated' is rarely used and n…

Well, if that's the premise of this thought experiment, and there is no limits, then I would sleep with absolutely any women I wanted to at any time I wanted to. I'm talking, threesomes with selena gomez, scarlet Johanson. Lining up 100 beautiful models and working my way down before receiving a bj from miss America. Eventually, I may settle down and have a few main girls or wives, then occasionally go out for a random super model. Realistically, though, I'd have 1 or 2 fwb's. Which I already do…

I agree with the overarching narrative here. A few things. Assertive in a masculine or authoritive way? That's not something I would personally find attractive, but if it's just a statement of boundaries, then yeah, power to them. The low effort date stuff. A coffee date is not indicative of effort put in other than the effort it takes to doll up and travel there in regards to a dinner date. I would say the main bulk of the effort is put into communication/listening and actually navigating a con…

I can't access the link, unfortunately, because the site is not available in my region. However, according to the National Library of Medicine, vesectomy use globally has decreased 61% over 20 years. That is a 2023 report. Now, should more men and, specifically, younger men have vesectomies in 2023? That's an interesting topic. At a glance, I would say no. According to the NHS, it's considered a permanent procedure. It is reversible, but it's not 'easy to do', and the success chances are lowered…

The answer given back could have been 'or he will divorce her for being the imasculating toxic femnazi that she is, and she can join all the other single, unloved, probably obese, damaged rejects like yourself. Think about that'. Opportunity missed. Edit: Wait, I'll do it for you 🫡

There may be some mens help groups near you. I know of one local to me called 'man down', which is a men's group emphasising mental health. They hold meetings every fortnight.

You can't really compare makeup to a biological trait like height. While I agree the standards are pretty ridiculous, it is one grounded in facts. The fact is, being tall is a biological marker for having good genes, and this makes you more attractive to women. A large majority of women like tall men, that's just how it is. However, that's not to say shorter men can't be attractive. There are many factors that play into attraction separate from height. Confidence, for example, is a huge boon.

I'd refrain from complimenting anything too physical as it could be seen as flirting very easily as us poor guys don't get compliments often from the opposite sex. I'd go with complimenting intellect or something specific about their dress sense. Maybe even complimenting how they carry themselves or if they are hard working. Men crave respect and to feel useful. Just asking us to help you carry something or get something off a high place for you then thanking us is going to make our day. "You're…

Don't forget consumer power. It makes sense from a business standpoint to promote feminism if the majority of your consumers are female. I believe that is partly why we also see a lot of mainstream feminism.

Prenup or gtfo. 42% of marriages in the uk end in divorce, it's a 50% divorce rate in the USA. There is a good chance your marriage will end in divorce. Marry without a prenup at your own risk.

Hey, op, I'm sorry about your dad. I empathise with what you are going through as I've been through something similar. However, you are still young, and it is saddening to know you are going through this at such an age. I'm in the uk, so I can't provide any accurate legal advice for where you are, but I can explain what I had to go through, and maybe there is something to be extrapolated from it. I had a child with my ex (planned and I'm on the birth certificate), seen there were some toxic elem…
