I just want to mention that the entire concept of "dating around" is extremely US/North-America-coded; I'm sure there's plenty of sluts in the big European cities doing this (particularly with "poly" now being a thing), but it's heavily frowned upon. They'd never tell their friends they are doing that, it would be a deeply held secret. In the vast majority of cultures on the entire planet, if you are fucking someone, the assumption is that you aren't also going on dates with other people. Period…

Uhh, no, the ideal setup would be that fwb situation without the insane manipulation of other men, this is psycho shit. Your exact comment can also apply to a situation without the obvious unethical bullshit. If she makes it clear to the dudes she's going on dates with that she is dating around/not looking for a relationship, then fine, but that is obviously not what that guy is talking about, at least in the first example.

What I'm getting from this is to look for empty bars with female bartenders lmao

Bro you just literally explained how you were manipulated by a seemingly good girl, realized she is dishonest, then broke it off; that is not really oneitis IMO because you actually got with the girl in the first place, but importantly you were able to break it off (which is essentially what I explained in my comment, experience = killing the instinct to get oneitis). If it was actual oneitis, you'd still be with that girl. Or more accurately, you would have never gotten with her to begin with, …

No problem. I structured my advice the way I did because I assume you're young, since oneitis is typically a young guy thing. The way I personally got over that is by getting my highschooler heart shattered by my massive crush, and I've never had a crush since. I honestly think it's just a part of growing up, but if you're in college or older and still haven't had that kind of moment, my advice in the above comment is particularly relevant.

Unironically, and I don't mean this in a belittling way, the answer is to "grow up." As in, you're a fully fleshed-out human being with hobbies (that aren't DnD or vidya), an active social life, and a decent job. If you have those, it's really difficult to get hung up on a chick, because you're already fairly busy, but more importantly, you have a social circle that guarantees that you have opportunities to meet new people somewhat frequently. Once you meet new girls somewhat frequently (this do…

Late, but I am totally with you, especially considering the audience we have here. You're essentially pointing to the concept of working smarter, not harder. Going brute-force into cold approach is dumb; you need concrete goals, with some sort of "training program" for lack of a better term, with concrete steps that gradually get you to where you want to be. "Be forward and indifferent and shoot your shot," okay, yeah, let me just turn on my indifferent mode, right. It takes a lot of working on …

But how do you escalate on the date? Just the standard escalation ladder? I'm going on my first date in several years tomorrow (was incredibly broke the past 2 years, fine now but basically had more important shit to worry about than pussy at the time). I feel very confident in myself in general and am in the best shape I've been in the last decade, but am unsure of how to go about gauging sexual interest in order to take her home. Long story short with this girl: Tinder match, she messages firs…

I don't think any of what you mentioned matters honestly; the much more important point is that women generally give dogshit dating advice for men. I don't see why his question needs to be directed at women, wouldn't it be much more helpful to get advice on this topic from successful men who were once in OP's position?

I'm trying to imagine what one of these confrontations looks like. Can you give a couple concrete examples of what has happened? This sounds so fucking weird, I thought that the age gap thing was almost exclusively a too-online fat femcel phenomenon.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
