The issue is that laws don't pay attention to things like common sense. Although the laws around being registered as a sex offender are the same regardless of gender. The stigma of it isn't. Women aren't tortured to death over the accusation of a sex offense, which can turn out later to be wrong.

It's not pushing re-offenders, it's pushing people who get caught more than once. Everybody has broken the law before, it's a really fucking hard thing to not break. Go over the speed limit for 2 seconds while a bit distracted? Broke the law. Go 8 miles under the speed limit? Broke the law. Download a movie illegally? Broke the law. Make a copy of a movie? Broke the law. "Propensity for criminal activity" is something both you and I fall under, we just haven't been caught.

This post highlights a great issue I rarely see discussed. Why aren't men getting married? Because there's no incentive to. Because marriage is only to the benefit of women and children. We live in an age where some women want the positives of living in 2015 with equality, while maintaining the perks of living off of a husband in the 1950's. The issue isn't so much activism towards keeping it this way, as it is apathy when it comes to changing it.

No, it was intentionally a double-negative. A feminist by definition has to be specifically for women's rights and not men's. The same way MRA's are for men's rights and not women's. I think the most disturbing thing, is the he spent 60 days in jail before a trial, because of an accusation. If something like that happened to me, I'd have 100% lost my job just because of attendance, and finding another job would already be an ordeal, without having everyone in the town/city thinking you raped someone.
