Do feminists point to any major society (throughout time/space) that they would NOT consider a patriarchy? If not, to what extent is any leeway given to the possibility that some of grievances they have are biologically-based (and not a product/element of each specific society)?

This is an old argument, the "no true Scotsman" idea that people like that aren't "real" feminists. Except most feminists use her study and her statistics (under this definition of rape) to support their idea that rape is predominantly something that happens to women, and that is mostly done by men. Under your analogy, this would be like Christians using the teachings of the WBC to justify their own ideas.

I'm not sure I understand your main point. I don't think Ann Coulter is a feminist. But given the general thrown around definition of a feminist as "someone who believes in equal rights for men and women" I find many people's claim of being a feminist to be cast in equal doubt. Yes, and in several other countries as well. This also includes state laws in the US such as Georgia (http://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/2010/title-16/chapter-6/16-6-1/) and Idaho (http://www.legislature.idaho.gov/idstat/Title18/T18CH61SECT18-6101.htm). Up until last year the federal US rape law stated that a man could only be raped through penetration.

Not true at all... I think that's part of the point of this post. In the movie OP referenced, "Super," the main character (played by Rainn Wilson) is a superhero raped by his sidekick (played by Ellen Page). They continue being good friends and fight crime together. Several other examples on this thread, in which the man ends up apologizing to his rapist, and certainly not portraying the rapist as villain.

I actually had a similar post a couple of months ago (although mine was specifically about using male rape as comedy), and everyone provided quite a lot of examples from films/TV. Because Freud was ultra unscientific. He basically created a bunch of theories, then looked for patients who he thought provided evidence for his theories, and then proclaimed himself right and called it a day - the exact opposite of the scientific method. Also, a great many of his theories have been proven wrong by genetics and the cracking of the human genome at the turn of the century.

I agree that nothing is sacred in comedy, and am in no way arguing that anything should be censored, or that comedians shouldn't be able to joke about whatever they want.
