Oh yeah I totally get that too. It is very insulting. But to their credit, I really don't think they mean to be.

Yeppers. When people find out he's the stay at home dad, I swear it's like they instantly think I'm a shit mom or something. ALSO I've noticed he seems to get more credit and praise then I would for the same shit. OHHHHH you do laundry - you're SUCH an AMAZING dad/husband!....but whatever - he is!

Everyone is different, some people would go crazy dealing with a baby/toddler all day long - AND we're having a second one in October, but I'm sure he's up for it.

Feminist here (feel the need to start with that every time I post in this sub) and fuck yes he can, just as well as any woman - in fact sometimes much better. My husband is a stay at home dad - and he is fucking amazing at it.

Oh yeah cuz "the cops" know all? Which cops? The ones from your town, or my town - LAPD? Where? Funny I see people earlier in the thread DEMANDING stats - but then you throw out "30% ask the fuckin' cops" and that's supposed to mean something?

I am a feminist and I am all for an early opt out for men. The whole issue would be WHEN should the opt out period end? I mean if he doesn't know if he's the dad it at least has to wait until a paternity test can be done. I am all for a male opt out, the details are what needs to be worked out.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
