Maybe start with practical things. Things that will broaden her horizon and shape her mind and personality. My mother and my grandmother taught me cooking when I expressed Interest and I was able to gather many recipes. Grandmother also encouraged me when I was fascinated by the gardening and farming lessons in school. I also loved to reread Astrid Lindgrens Saltkrokan Books, now I read them focusing on the female lead that took the position of the long gone mother of the family.

Start to make the money last longer. If he needs to eat during break time - prepare a meal you/ he can take along, or use yesterday's leftovers. Buy essentials like sugar, flour, oil, nuts, rice, noodles etc. in bulk and keep it in storage. Read up on what you can keep there as well. Buy only what you need. When you need it. I think that demonizing those animal like creatures crawling out of the "hot spots" right now is wholly needed! Not a single day goes by when these demons rape, kill, hit, steal etc. I think it is sad that the only women who dare to speak up on that are the followers of Emma Schwarz and the women of the right wing parties.

If he is agitated/angry/moody I get spontaneous and visit the local library, invite a friend to coffee or go for a walk. I do however not prepare dinner if he all but chased me away with his grumpiness. If he wants dinner he has to ask for my return and keep the peace or he can make dinner.

I have the opposite of a sweet tooth and can never really appreciate my creations, but the sense of appreciation I get from my boyfriend whenever I bake for him has completely changed my opinion. Why not try carrot cake? Or vegetable cake and a few muffins for dessert? The possibilities are endless.
