Paper/financial abortion There are quite problematic edge cases with an opt-out system, so we'd be much better off pushing for an opt-in system based on parenthood consent instead. 5	If you're going to be Pro-Choice, be Pro-Choice for both parents legal paternal surrender. Or rather parenthood consent, because parental surrender is not really a tenable position. It assumes consent unless the person actively opts out, yet the person may not have even been informed, which quickly turns into an ugly mess of exceptions and deadlines and people getting screwed over on both sides.
