Divorcing a narcissistic wife with refusal to work syndromeYes, I have. The two times I did it played out as I described. As I said, I had a hard time selling her (not my wife, a previous partner) on the benefits, but once the pacifiers were removed she actually became proactive in a number of the areas we had discussed (housework/paid work/becoming socially active). | /r/askTRP | 13/07/19 04:55 AM
Divorcing a narcissistic wife with refusal to work syndromeIn my experience women need to be forced onto a good thing before they actually realise how good it is. Sell her phone/laptop/TV. She might protest that she has the ‘right’ to these things, let her know all rights come with responsibilities, and that she has the responsibility to pay for them. This path has the double benefit of removing pacifiers and gaining much needed income. Often the told turkey removal of pacifiers is a bucket of cold water over the head. It is a reset button that allows h… | /r/askMRP | 13/07/19 12:35 AM

Monogamy and EschatologyGood point! I would argue by going straight to the text and pointing out when Paul says " Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her" - the 'her' is a singular personal pronoun. Paul also uses the same word for the Church in the next two verses of Ephesians 5. So the grammar of the word indicates it is not one Christ and a few billion brides, but one Christ and one bride. | /r/RPChristians | 12/07/19 04:15 AM

New to the Forum, seeking insightA few things you said make me want to ask you: Have you watched porn in the last six weeks? Porn kills your ability to lead well and love genuinely, and will send you to hell if you don’t cut/gouge it out. So, have you? | /r/RPChristians | 11/05/19 02:41 AM
How much is not enough?I get your point, but I know I’m not the first to encounter this, I’m seeking advice from my more experienced brothers. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 29/01/19 06:45 AM
[FR] Recently Married, Emotional Cheating, & Dread GameBrother I'm sorry to hear of this situation, but it looks like you've got some healthy momentum going. Dread is a potent drug, you are beginning to see it in action. I remember when I first started using similar principles, the results were crazy; I thought "surely it can't be THAT easy??' It was. Good marriages are formed in the crucible of situations like this. The age old wisdom is true: good relationships are earned, not found. If you've been camping out in your wife's frame for an age, no w… | /r/askMRP | 18/01/19 05:19 AM

Wife said she doesn't want to touch meBrother I'm sorry to hear it went poorly. My advice would be that if there is an area that frustrates you (her sexual relations with other men), do not engage at all when the topic comes up. Sounds like a sh*t test plain as day, don't even respond. Continue to live according to your mission, crank out the lifting, better yourself, remove the need for her validation, live a life you respect. In my experience, when you lead they follow; it may take time but it happens (often, not always). If a div… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 16/01/19 03:53 AM
Female Pastors - Some thoughts about itHey Friend, I believe that the predominance of female preachers can (in part) be traced back to the unfortunate way boys and girls have been raised differently over the last 40 years or so. Boys are continually being told to 'wait your turn', 'don't push in', 'learn to listen' and 'hold your tongue'. On the other hand, girls are continually told to 'stick up for yourself', 'don't take no for an answer', and 'bring out your leadership potential'. I don't know if your experience has been the same,… | /r/RPChristians | 14/01/19 08:00 PM
Stop apologizing so muchGreat point! And helpful application re. the wife scenario. I've found people like this hard to understand, because they are so quick to condemn their own faults (real or imagined), but when it comes to the actions of others they refuse to take offence. I had a friend that would always offer apologies for just about anything, but on the occasion that he himself would receive an apology, he would refuse to accept it, assuring no harm was done. It seems meek and gracious, but it tacitly gives peop… | /r/RPChristians | 14/01/19 08:40 AM
So glad I found RPChristians!I have been reading A Quest for Godliness by J. I. Packer, the puritans took their spiritual responsibility over their family extremely seriously. I'm sure you are aware, but if you look only a few centuries back, everyone has preaching on this, but no longer. Any idea why? I think it's because most ministers are not doing it with their wives, so they don't feel comfortable preaching about it to others. Thoughts? | /r/RPChristians | 14/01/19 08:33 AM
So glad I found RPChristians!Thank you for the considered reply. This is why I am glad to find this community; poor integration between some RP philosophy and sound doctrine can be severed at the root nice and early without me continuing in error. God bless you brother. | /r/RPChristians | 14/01/19 01:02 AM
