Dude I'm 100% with you on that. Nothing is off limits when it comes to humor as far as I'm concerned. I'm just of the opinion that the comment I'm calling out was, at the very least, as much a joke as it is the poster being actually racist. If not worse. Besides, "LOL Tyrone has no dad lul" is such a boring old trope. If you're going to crack jokes about race, it's gotta be better than that garbage. The bit with Louis CK describing the origin of the word "nigger" comes to mind. Amazing timing an…

Yeah if it was the same "LOL women getting beat" bullshit that I see here. That's my primary issue. But seeing this casual racism bullshit so heavily upvoted AND defended is basically the icing on the cake for me. But I get the angle you're going for. I'm a firm believer that you can be racist towards anyone, no matter what your skin color. I'm not some diehard SJW or anything. Quite the opposite to be honest.

Oh yeah it's totally not racist at all. Nor is saying how the black guy doesn't have a father. Completely innocuous.

Yeah I'm unsubscribing. The fact that some blatantly racist shit is so high up is pretty gross. I miss when it was "judge denies bail for woman who murdered husband," and the like. Now it's "lol watch this bitch get hit." I hate reddit sometimes.

Ah that good old casual racism.

Except you just cherry picked a piece from the article about the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, who's stated purpose was to create a "sober and pure world" by abstinence, purity, and evangelical Christianity. So not sure how you're equating this movement with feminism, aside from the fact that its second president was a feminist of note.

Which gender based double standard are you referring to?

That is at the moving in/marriage phase. Yeah, lets invest 2-3 years in to a relationship before discussing incredibly important, life altering stuff.

But that would be a when you move in The fuck? I've been with my SO for over a year. No plans to move in any time soon. You damn well better believe I know her financial history, goals, savings rate, etc. Why would I wait until I've invested 2+ years in to a relationship to find this information out?

Ah, so he banned Muslim majority countries, giving Christians and others "Facing religious persecution" a free pass. Call it what you want, his rhetoric was about banning Muslims during the election. He attempted to do it. If you want to sugar coat it, go ahead, but I'm not that ignorant, sorry.

If you meant Muslims, I would accept some of his comments were aggressive towards Islam, and I do not support banning people from this country solely based on their Religion, but in action he hasn't really done anything. He has literally attempted, twice, to ban a shitload of Muslim people from entering our country. Twice. But he's done nothing. Ok.

First definition of binary: 1. relating to, composed of, or involving two things. So no, it doesn't. It involves two things, in this instance. Male or female. It doesn't mean you have to be capable of existing in both states.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
