But yes; you're exactly right; the -oid is for resembling or being akin to, so "android" is rather literally "has the form of a man", and gynoid would be equivalent. Generally when they're seen in fiction, Gynoids are the "perfect woman" from a male's perspective (owing to the eras they were featured in part), so you get things like the Stepford Wives or...well, you've seen Blade Runner, right? Just to mention, this is what is considered the difference between "authoritative" and "authoritarian" parenting - or was back when I took my high-school psych class. To be authoritative, let the child have input; you still lay down the law, but you talk about why that's the case, let them voice opinions and suggestions, and perhaps even compromise once in a while. Don't get me wrong, it's not fair; they are quite likely neglecting what would more properly be described as bigotry from the 'other side'. This is the weaker of the two arguments; it basically says that we should prioritize whoever is suffering worst - and then attempts to show that women are categorically suffering worse than men. 1	doesn't get much more absurd than this, fellas. Not if you separate romantic attraction and sexual attraction. In simplest terms, people can be attracted to (in a romantic or deeply platonic way) people who they have no interest in sexually, and vice versa. Assuming the quotes are correct, they could each be described as homosexuals who are either "biromantic" or "heteroromantic".
