Yeah, prisons can be great (here in Germany for example), but only if it’s open prison (they get to have a job, sleep in prison, minimal supervision and for the outside ankle tags), the better the rehabilitation the lower the fall-back rate). 1	But if it was a man... This isn‘t really an issue. Paedophiles are mentally ill, putting them in prison most likely won’t help them, some form of therapy could. If she acted on her urges, no matter how wrong they are, but didn’t directly harm children (let’s assume she downloaded the pics)/ sexually assaulted children, a warning is adequate measure, this may stop her from acting in any fashion on her paedophilia (as a kind of wake-up call).
