The idea of having sex without the risk (or a highly reduced risk) of having a child was seen as amazing. Now there are condoms but if the condom fails the man has no fallback, once the the contraceptive fails that that, the man is on the hook. 11	Suck it up and pay So then the woman has no need to give the child up for adoption, has no need for legal abortions outside of incidents of rape, and requires no financial assistance from the other parent should they seperate. It takes two to tango, she already made her decision with having unprotected sex. Atleast that is the logic you apply to men, why should it not apply to women? The woman can unilaterally decide the baby shouldn't be born and kill abort a fathers child. 34	Suck it up and pay Hes not talking about a woman, or women in particular. Its talking about the legal rights of the two parents. The woman constantly has a choice. Where as the mans choice ends with sex, once the egg is fertilized the man looses all choice and is at the whims of the courts and the mother and her choices. There are entire courts and legal people dedicated to the issues involved with "men trying to opt out of parenthood" as you put it. They are "deadbeat dads", they are criminals... But they exist.
