The $150 AMD processor has almost exactly the same computing power. And again (for the third time I think) if you want to buy an intel processor that is equal an AMD or marginally better you will spend 2x-5x more. You should do some research. I use an intel processor but these are the facts.

The best AMD pc processor is ~160 dollars. To buy an equivalent Intel processor is ~350 dollars. They have roughly the same computing power. To buy a processor that is better than the AMD equivalent expect to spend more. It comes down to money. If you want to drop 2x the price for the intel name, by all means go for it. If you want a marginally better Cpu, you're gonna have to drop ~1k. Oh, right. People that actually know PC hardware.

No, it says it has better performance for the price. You should really read the graph lol. Who cares if it's old? The processor you are talking about came out 14 years ago. Depending on your needs it might not be enough to do what you want. If you want to just surf the web I'm sure that processor would be great, but if you want to do anything more than open office, surf the web, or other basic tasks you will want more.

Yes, that's because old processors are so cheap. There is a limit on how many processors you can have in one motherboard. You would get more performance out of that than the 99 dollar AMD part relative to price, but depending on your motherboard that might be the only processor you can have. So you would be paying less for a worse processor and you would be limiting your computers performance. /edit there's also a better AMD processor for cheaper, it just isn't listed in the first graph because …

I don't really think so. While they do promote dishonesty, it's not like they tell you to lie about your job and say you make millions or whatever, it's a bit more playful/teasy lies.
