See, the thing is, this is clearly not the case for feminism as a whole. The proof here is that this became the top rated comment in the thread and it was about how the article was BS and TRP does not represent the MRM. So this whole thing has left me rather confused. Clearly the posters on the sub support the content of the comment, but the mods do not so it has to go.

To be fair, I think being told 'man up' or 'be a man' is harmful. It's usually a way to bully someone in to accepting an unfair circumstance, or to make it so the person can't share their feelings because "men don't do that".

Hi. I did an English GCSE and this assignment requires you to answer on the spot questions about your chosen subject. The teacher had to grill the kid to give him a chance to display his skills to articulate his thought on an impromptu basis (which he did quite well given his age). The teacher is being fairly neutral.

Asking for sources for pretty weird statistics isn't pedantic, or wrong. The rape numbers you found for men are likely to be under the definition of penetrating rape (ie, using objects or body parts to forcefully penetrate) but the numbers for "made to penetrate" have no statistical significance in their difference, as pointed out in another comment. The legal definition of rape in the UK and US are inherently sexist and require changing, which is one of the points I'm most passionate about in the MR movement.
