I’ve had a good career thus far and am proud of my personal progress. | -38 | One way of the wage gap myth.I am a woman in STEM. For TWO YEARS I did the exact same job as my male counterpart. I am also responsible for our metrology lab and programming our inspection equipment in addition to my other duties. The only difference? He was an “Engineer” while I was a “Technician”. The difference in pay was significant. It was only rectified when HE went to management and complained, never mind the MANY times I brought it up.
