I'd say some people oversimplify this point of view and do not acknowledge just how complicated things are. The vast majority of people in general, let alone white people are not privileged. Referencing my earlier post about prayer, it just doesn't have any real practical application. Like where do we go from there if we accept this as a general truth? Many seem to go about it by forcing quotas and so on...something I can't get behind.

I've heard someone say that "checking privilege" is like a holy ritual or prayer. It doesn't actually do anything or help someone who is disadvantaged, but it makes certain types feel good about themselves.

Man did it take me by surprise when I traveled into the Off-topic section. I originally only went there for gaming news but Christ, I almost regret making myself aware of the OT there....some of the threads are good and informative but there's just far too much dogma flying around and people seem to get banned for the silliest reasons. The mods certainly seem to be among the SJW type crowd....really annoying watching them shut down dissenters when given even the slightest reason to drop the banh…
