And sometimes if you have a short-ish sentence it is likely you won't be moved to a prison and serve the rest of your confinement in jail. "Short-ish" definition is up to whatever state you're in. If you incarcerate an individual for crimes committed, make sure you use the time to teach actual skills. So if you go to prison, no reason you shouldn't still continue your high school classes.
