Look, it doesn't take a sociology degree to understand that, historically and statistically, the issue of wrongful imprisonment and lack of state compensation for such is far more strongly associated with blackness than maleness. It's absolutely a problem that they mutilate boys, but the worst negative repercussions are so rare and comparatively insignificant compared to the worst issues plaguing children today that it's a low-priority issue. I'm not even saying female circumcision is the highest priority. Bringing up the injustice of men having their bodily autonomy taken away and saying it's a gendered issue when female circumcision both predates that for males and is more painful and destructive (and tied into cultures which have even less respect for women's body autonomy than ours, which is seriously still arguing about abortions even as they let children starve).
