1	A problem that I have never come across before regarding women of different nationalities. You may not need to. Malays have very brown skin, similar to Pacific Islanders; Malaysian-Chinese don't look any different from Chinese anywhere else. If she is a Christian there is a higher probability she is Malaysian-Chinese. If you're still confused, you could ask about her main language. Malaysian-Chinese culture should be very comprehensible to Westerners, especially since she speaks English. They are generally a bit more conservative so I wouldn't, say, push for a night in bed immediately. But it always, always depends on the person.
