You need to get your certifications up, get promoted a few more times. Your pay will go up and so will your free time. But you’ll just end up spending that extra free time studying more.

You can make 6 figures pretty easily in IT with no college degree, but honestly sucks all free time out the window and all you end up doing is studying for certifications. Source: am a data center engineering consultant, no college degree, spent 3 years studying instead of living.

If you can afford risk do Robinhood and choose your own stocks, zero commission fee and if you choose a decent blue chip dividend stock you can reasonably do the same thing as you would investing in a mutual fund. Except have more control on what your investments are. That being said, I still contribute money into the same mutual fund every pay check, to mitigate risk, but then I started doing options a few years ago and it’s been fun. How does that win anything?? You ghost her and all that does is ruin any long game you have with reputation. The trick to “winning” is getting everything you wanted and keeping your reputation in tact. You can fight this all you want but this is the true win. I just hate “Ghosting” people it’s something I did when I was younger and I now know you get way better results when you man up and face your challenges.
