You are over thinking this. Active dates are good, it gets her comfortable with the idea of you touching her, even if you can't escalate in the moment. Do the active date then invite her to some place close to the sex location for a drink, could just be your place. Phrase it as you are just hanging out at your place or something. My original operating assumption was to always push for escalation, but I had a couple dates where I assumed my first date kiss came across as over eagerness, so I've been exploring other models.
