I love the quote the daily mail chose to try to discredit Fry as well. "There was a smattering of applause but mostly there was this deadly silence. And Ed looked as if he'd swallowed a wasp." I can just imagine a posh upper class trout saying this, cane and monocle in one hand swirling a glass of brandy in the other.

I don't think Michelle Obama will tweet #bringbackourboys not because she's sexist but because, unlike Nigeria, the US is going to send in troops and anything she might do as wife of the president of the US will probably only inflame/escalate violence.

Seems like it would just be easier to try to educate existing admins/mods/editors of wikipedia than it would be to get new ones into positions of power. It will take time for opinions to change but they will change because, generally, people like to trust things with proof and facts over pseudo-religious propaganda. Edit: I knew the page was going to be one-sided, but if you guys want to blow some veins read the Talk:Section. Its pretty terrible.

So what I'm getting from this article is that a law was passed to make men and womens participation in sport non-discriminatory. But then because "non-discriminatory of course means 50-50" they are reducing men's sporting activities to make this ratio. Seems like they should either spend money trying to increase women's participation or instead just accept that sometimes men like to play sport more than women. Pretty dumb implementation of what was a good law.
