I'm 33 no kids might want some in like 7 years, my dating choices are now limited to women who don't know what Dexter's laboratory is

yeah, turns out when technology arrives that lets people be individualist and not need to rely on others much anymore, people get lonely, because there is no more shared context of strife letting them forge bonds with each other, outside of bubbles like the military.

This sounds like someone I'd want to be friends with in my real life. Seems like you're doing it right, where you may use online resources as the tools they are but not as a replacement for real life. No one tells us as technology speeds along where too far is, so we have to feel it out for ourselves and make sacrifices necessary for our values. Also, I don't know what a candy check-in is.

Another commenter put it well, anything I learned wasn't exclusive to TRP, that just happens to be where I found it. It did help me lean toward putting my own life first and not chasing people so hard anymore. I do believe there's a tendency for women around 30 wanting to settle down (they have more pressure to than men). also do believe men have some disadvantages in society, but I'm not going to harp on it. See, the thing is that red pill borrows some general truths and makes you believe it's …

Yep, I fell into the same hole with what sounds like the same youtube channel (let's not mention it by name for the sake of others on here). There was some actually good advice on there, like chasing excellence instead of women. I'm not going to rush into marriage out of 30s-panic, there's less need to as a guy. I learned a lot of good tips. That's how it can make sense to stick around. Because the good stuff is solid, it can make you tolerate, or begin to believe, the more questionable stuff. A…

Sometimes I don't know what to write on my blog. Other times I find myself commenting on reddit, writing blog post length comments. So sometimes I just take those comments and pretty much just post them on my blog.

I'm new to the concept of outcome independence. Any books or resources recommended on the subject?

I'm just gonna jump in on your defense. I rarely visit this sub, so maybe it requires a certain lay of the land, but I had no idea what he was trying to say, and still don't understand how it was agreeing with the OP. But if we all agree with the OP's message then I guess there is no reason for conflict.

The convenience of dating apps can make you think they're a good idea -- they medicate your loneliness with the possibility of attractive women to connect with. But dating apps are low quality platforms, so they tend to attract low quality women, and condition good women to be lower quality when using them. I'll send decent messages to them and they'll barely respond, probably due to all the attention they get on there. I do still find myself using them when I get especially lonely, so trying wo…

Not a bad way of life. Dating apps seem to attract low quality people, and if they aren't low quality, extended use seems to make them closer to it than they were before. They're just kind of not good for you. Only took me YEARS TO REALIZE THIS

The thing is, that type of woman isn't the type you want to be with anyway. Filters herself out of your equation, doing you a favor.

Yeah, this is the type of thing you learn as a guy after using dating apps for so long. 100 men chasing 1 woman. Do the math on what that does to the psyche on both ends -- artificially lowers the self-perceived desirability of the 100 (aka makes them feel worthless), and artificially inflates the self-perceived desirability of the 1 (makes her feel like a goddess for being a 7/10). And for the 1, due to the scarcity principle), it makes her spoiled like a cat who's fed bacon and hot chips and r…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
