No. That service is necessary as it allows people to view a source that may be on a site they wish not to support through ads that show up once clicked on. The archive takes a snapshot and shares the relevant info without support the site through ads, nor does it support the advertisers who chose to do business with said sites. As a possible solution for you, do you know if there's a 'mute' button for other users so you don't see their comments? That would be helpful in your situation.

As a fellow Canadian it is truly disappointing that you are not challenging this.
