Self love was a powerful movement that morphed into self delusion in recent decades. The idea that you should be ok with yourself in a stagnated or recessive position in life, is deeply unattractive to most people. It's like dating a murky swamp instead of a fresh rushing glacial river. One moves forward, the other stands still. Sadly a huge percentage of people have tricked themselves into thinking that self love means that you stop moving forward, and even further, that you lean into unhealthy…

There is no such thing as "the best version of yourself" its an unattainable dream. People can always be better, stronger, richer, more successful versions of themselves. It's a distraction from other meaningful goals in life, stop being distracted and focus on what is involved in being a good partner.

It's quite literally the only thing I have a problem with. He's was the one who asked if he could delete his dating profile after the 3rd date. I followed suit. He was the one who asked me how i felt about kids and starting a family, marriage etc. He is the one to refer to me as his. I was meant to meet his family this weekend, but covid conditions caused that to be postponed. His siblings and parents know about me. I've met some of his friends already. Its literally just the texting at this poi…

Typically there's the exclusivity talk. It might not be a full blown partnership at this point, but getting there.

Its every second day and we typically spend the whole weekend together. For instance. I spent Friday night, Sat, Sun morning with him and he had plans with his friend in the afternoon. Then i saw him Tuesday, Thursday, and will be spending the weekend again with him Fri-Sun.

Yea it worries me. We are exclusively dating at this point but it just makes me a little anxious when he takes a while to reply during his downtime. We spend a lot of quality time together, but i also know i have a little bit of an anxious attachment style.

What about frequency or timing of texts during the day. If he works 40 hours and takes a couple hours to reply during the work day and then about an hour between texts on his downtime, is that indicative of a low level of interest?

This is a good example of how leaning into feminine energy is a strong, supportive and nurturing force... the concept of adapting to a relationship role doesn't mean you lie down and allow him to wipe his feet on your face. Likewise, Masculine energy is defined by provision and protection, not bullying and aggression and beating the crap out of the wall, or worse, you. I spent far too long on two posts on here today that consisted of women trying to seek out justification and support for the beh…

my stomach churned when she said he called her a "beggar". Leaning into feminine energy does not mean you should lie down like a doormat and let him wipe his feet on your face.

The fact they think that r/RedPillWomen will be receptive and somehow advise on how to 'cure' a man like this who hasn't presented attractive masculine energy OR qualified himself as a high value team player is beyond me. It's like some strange emotional masochism.

Sorry, but I'm actually baffled at how willfully blind you are. All i see are excuses, and I couldn't even finish reading your comment. Redpill philosophy includes partnering with men who express strong, protective masculine energy. His behaviour is NOT reflective of that at all and if you want to squander your youth with someone who you've posted concerns about frequently, it's a shame... but I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

There's no difference in what you are saying. He's pulling the wool over your eyes by repeatedly saying "yep, i'll go" and then he doesn't go. Why? Answer: Because he doesn't want to.

It does ZERO good to attempt to force someone into something they won't do. It does a world of good to tell the OP to leave and protect herself until he changes. You are telling her to effectively force him into watching videos and booking appointments for him without his permission. That's NOT him "doing it for himself" and it puts her in a dangerous position of pissing him off... and clearly he doesn't cope well when he's grumpy. Bad, bad advice.

How is he your husband/partner if you aren't building a life together? Even without the marriage licence he should be at least acting like your teammate. He won't buy a house with you, put your name on the title with him, he hits the dog, he's kinda open to having kids now but wasn't before, he won't go to therapy or listen to you, he loses his temper consistently.... all your own words btw. That's not indicative of someone who wants to be your life partner... just your "for now" partner.
/r/RedPillWomen29/01/21 06:01 PM
1

It's an empty statement. Everyone on here already knows its needed. Telling someone their partner needs to go to therapy is meaningless when that partner refuses to go. However, telling someone they need to remove themselves from the situation until that partner has an epiphany... at least that's actionable change that keeps the OP safe.

If he's not listening then stop wasting your time. You can't change people or make them value you when they have no interest in doing so. This isn't feminism talking here, its basic self preservation... red pill values don't mean that as a woman you become a doormat. Embracing femininity does not involve being ignorant about a violent temper. Additionally, your previous post from 10 months ago say that he doesn't want to get married and he makes you pay half the mortgage on a home but yet... wil…

I don't normally scan through someones post history, but some of the further info she's shared is extremely alarming. He doesn't want to get married and the finances aspect seems weird and messy, that alone is enough for me to establish incompatibility and find someone else. https://www.reddit.com/r/FinancialPlanning/comments/fput68/long_term_financial_security_question/

This isn't instances of once or twice, you admit that you've established a PATTERN here. My ex blamed his bi-polar for the abusive way he'd talk to me... and I opted out because that's a bad reason to continue a relationship. We are responsible for our own actions. Your partner hasn't even been diagnosed and you are already blaming his behaviour on a disorder. Stop it. My boyfriend would put HIMSELF into therapy if he hit an animal. You aren't looking for advice, you are looking for people to as…

I think that you are missing the bigger picture here. Much of your question is about how YOU can help him become better, the things YOU can do to make him be a better potential husband and deal with his temper better. While it is a major responsibility to be your partners rock, this is not representative of that. You are unconsciously assuming the responsibility of a grown mans behaviour... one who is behaving like a child. Well, worse than a child. But what i'm effectively getting across to you…

This is a great response, especially when its just eagerness. Its fine to be attracted to eachother, but the sexual tension is a great way to continue furthering that emotional connection. There are cases where it's okay to tell them to "f*** off"... if someone is pushing you after you've said no and had an honest conversation about how you feel, the chances of them being a good match for you plummet massively... so being cold and even ghosting people like that is acceptable in my view. Some men…

Its your pride talking, don't let it consume you. Pride never resulted in anything good. Its fair enough to be sensitive about it, and as long as this isn't a pattern just accept that your pride has been bruised a little bit. You've got to make sure you don't let contempt seep in and ruin something good, it is EXTREMELY hard to back out of that emotion. Tell him you felt embarrassed and want to fix it but you felt a little attacked in the moment and might have overreacted. Make some ridiculous c…

Everytime he does this, step back and say "Ok. Show me how to do it better". Then pour yourself some wine and watch him cook for you ;) In all seriousness though, when we assume our respective roles in a relationship, we have to allow the other person to learn and flourish in their own way. I think my moms first try making dinner resulted in her sobbing over a burned meatloaf and my dad trying to eat it while saying "it tastes good babe! Seriously!". - I need to steadily lose 5 lbs this month in order to feel better in my clothes. That will springboard me into an additional 5 lbs next month which will mean my weight loss goals for 2021 will already be achieved by the 31st. This month is critical for establishing longevity with my habits... and arguably the worst time of year to enforce it. - I need to be more brutal and dismissive with men who talk to me like a toy. I never shave it as it grows in evenly and more visible. if you feel like you get quite a bit of it it might be good to get your hormones tested just to make sure there aren't any PCOS issues going on. it can cause excessive facial hair. Normally I choose to wax mine off. Looks a lot cleaner, and it takes longer to grow back in. Less painless than plucking as well.

I say this carefully because I don't want to come across as a big fat jerk Focusing on a healthy lifestyle that keeps you lean, fit and healthy... as well as getting enough sleep, looking after your dental hygiene and moisturizing your skin regularly is an important start. You clearly didn't read that Harvard study at all. Your assumption that the black market would die is laughable... absolutely laughable. Turning prostitution into a business will mean that business owners will attempt to source the cheapest form of labour... the black market will still be very much alive with traffickers, they will just find new solutions to get around government regulations and requirements (and the study I linked makes reference to this) It's an ethical MINEFIELD for policymak…

Please don't assume that people simply prostitute because they need a side hustle. The true reason most prostitutes are where they are is due to desperation, NOT a desire to make a solid living or "express themselves sexually". Usually its addiction fuelled, and other times they can't get away from their pimp and are effectively trapped in a vicious cycle of drugs, trafficking and entrapment. They are vulnerable to rape and assault and my EMS friend has transported many battered crack addict pro…

Agreed. The distinction should have also been made at the beginning of the relationship about whether he never wanted kids in general, or if that simply meant he didn't want to father his own children. That alone would have answered the marriage question. Because if he most certainly didn't want children to take care of in any form, including the step-dad role... marriage would have always been off the table.

I think that the first indicator for you should have been when he said that he has always felt "pressured" when it came to exclusivity from his past 6 girlfriends. Its one thing to have a pushy ex, its quite another when it happens 6 times. Much of the time, people feel determined to be the anomaly in a well established pattern (AKA "i can change him" or "but I understand him and fufill his needs better"). People maybe will disagree, but I think that spending too much time around locating and sifting through resources are part of the problem when it comes to avoidant/anxious attachment, and this is coming from someone who is most DEFINITELY avoidant. I will use researching the topic as an excuse to continue my avoidant behaviour. I would take notes and watch all sorts of videos and then in practice I would just think "the next person i meet I will be more courageous and self aware with" and then c…

I think the sad reality is that some women feel like they don't have a right to complain about it because they feel they will come off to bossy or display some kind of feminist traits through confronting this kind of behaviour. I've been there. I grew up in a fundamentalist christian household where you were told "wait to be chosen", "don't talk too much", "seen and not heard", "you look pale, wear some makeup". This is a really tough one for me. I came out of a religeous sect and my parents will hate any partner I choose as they aren't a part of the small group that I used to belong to. (no shade against christianity, the group even rejected other christians so it was pretty extreme). I long so much to have a healthy relationship with my partners family and have in-laws and make the effort for them... but i feel constantly guilty knowing that whoever I end up with will not be accepted by my parents and…

This is on point. I would like to add that I think the trait that should be avoided that can link these ideas that being smart is a bad thing is if you are a "know-it-all". If you find yourself debating your partner on purpose in some attempt to get the higher ground, or be "right" this can be deeply irritating, regardless of whether you are a man or a woman... but its most apparent in women who have a chip on their shoulder and feel like they need to exert dominance or superiority over their pa…

I like this comment a lot as it really does describe my current situation. My apartment is adorable and organized and very mindfully designed. You aren't wrong, but you can't disagree that if a partner expects you to be okay with an open relationship or get plastic surgery when you aren't open to it, thats an instance of "don't change yourself for anyone" that is certainly justified. I can agree with your other points completely but I feel its important to clarify exactly what I meant about how some of that messaging is correct in a very particular context. I'm thankful that i'm no longer tied to a religious sect that only provided me with scary, one sided relationships and depressing expectations. Even if being single at 29 outside the church means i end up alone and childless.... at least I was honest with myself, and that's the lesser of the two evils in the overall scheme of things.

Social media puts forward a new kind of woman these days, it's a version of the ultra rich Kardashians or the ultra sexy instagram model with the expensive hair extensions, lip injections, smooth foundation, tiny waist, long eyelashes, expensive clothes, 10k veneers.... and so on. Female here. Interested to know, what classifies as fat? I definitely don't see it as a personal attack, so I'm genuinely asking as I agree that someone who is out of shape is unattractive. Went on a date with someone who was built like a roman centurion the other night. I'm not fat by any stretch of the imagination, but my arms are a little soft and lack definition. However, I felt like a straight up heifer next to him.
