There's always an exemption. Slightly tangential, but my alma mater (in the UK) offers a course "for professional women – including those who identify as women" which "aims to ensure female students are equipped for their career after graduation"... So I wrote to the head of the careers service, basically to complain about the programme excluding men. Women are more likely to initiate both marriages and divorces. I wonder how they could relate the former to their oppression dialectic. Furthermore, wives report lower relationship quality than husbands, while men and women in nonmarital relationships report more similar relationship quality. My theory is that women tend to bitch more about their husbands to their friends than men do about their wives, as a way of bonding. I think the movie only feels longer than it is when you're sitting next to your feminist girlfriend, very conscious about what she thinks of it. I thought it felt more like 90 minutes.
