it’s important to know around 50% of people have herpes alone. That statistic includes oral herpes - ie cold sores - which are both not sexually transmitted, and also not the herpes you think of when you think herpes. Driving jobs I'll agree are almost all men, but regular A to B drivers probably don't have a very large gender disparity. I can't say much for other countries, but in the US just about every adult, man or woman, drives a car (outside of cities at least)

I don't see at them not listening to men's issues. I just don't think they can claim to represent men's issues when feminism is still a very female-centric ideology, by and for women. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that, but it's not necessarily a general or unbiased concept of equality.

I understand why it has the name, I just think the name could change to coincide with the goal changing. In the past, it was about bringing women up from being essentially second class citizens, but now that it claims to be about general equality it should brand itself to convey that. It's the same reason why you often see the LGBT groups add a + or extra letters: to have the name reflect who they choose to represent.

They could still rebrand it as the equality movement or whatever any time they want. The LGBT gets a new letter almost annually, so rebranding doesn't seem like a real setback. The name of a social/political movement is important, and feminism is a terrible name for a movement striving for equality when half that base aren't women

Although if they did, they might have a chance of succeeding. IIRC HLS snuck an entire assault rifle across the TSA checkpoint in pieces when testing its effectiveness. Granted, no one knows the TSA better than HLS, but it still shows that it's not totally effective

No, not easily. Maybe in the most rural parts of China, but anything in the Beijing/Shanghai/Hong Kong suburbs are going to run just as high as American suburbs. China does have a lower cost of living, but houses and land are certainly not dirt cheap

The point is that decisions made during the marriage can negatively impact the earings potential of a person throughout their life. I agree, although I disagree that the stay at home spouse needs permanent compensation for that. The decision for one spouse to stay at home and manage the household and family, and for the other to go out and provide, is a decision to work as a joint family unit, that is not present after the divorce. It should be extremely temporary though. If she relied on a husband to support her, and she no longer has that husband, then alimony should only be in effect until she finds a job. It shouldn't be to sustain the same quality of life she had while she was married because she's not married anymore. No one should have to pay for their ex's expenses if they no longer share a life
