Yes, but that’s a planned and agreed contract. Unless you wanna make every woman you sleep with sign some kind of contract for acceptance of responsibility (which I’m not even sure is possible assuming she’d even agree to it), there’s an expected shared burden at the moment of conception because the child is innocent.

I think the difference is that if one is getting artificially inseminated, it shows a confidence and ability in taking care of the child independently. That’s not to say natural insemination automatically means they’re incapable by contrast, but there’s unfortunately some level of plausible deniability. Like they can just say “Oh it wasn’t planned, I need help” whether or not that’s true.
