Right….coming from someone that has calculated hundreds of child support guidelines worksheets. Oh that’s right…you haven’t.

My favorite cases are those where the mother uses their children as pawns and I help the dads a fair time sharing schedule. I care about the children more than I care about to help an ex wife get more, that’s not how it works.

Everything I said comes from my 15 years experience. Take it or leave it. When it comes to child support it’s all about the numbers. If the ex wife makes $60k and the man makes 40k but they sleep most nights at the wife’s home…the man will pay child support. If the man wants 50/50 overnights in most cases it will be granted by the judge as long as it makes sense (meaning he can take the children to school or daycare and pick them up or he has a someone that can do it for him) and then the wife w…

I wonder how that was calculated. You should ask your attorney how that happened, there is something missing here.

I do divorces for a living and have been doing it for 15 years. I’ve seen a huge change where the father has the same rights and responsibilities as mothers. You don’t get to determine how she spends child support. Same if it was reversed…and yes some of the women in my cases pay child support. And whoever said that “when a woman makes more she gets a fat discount”…show me. Most states child support is calculated based on income, certain children’s expenses and amount or overnights at each other…

You need to file a motion of contempt of court orders, then the judge can look at the case and make decisions.

Not every woman. I’ve been divorced and did not move back to my parents house.

Maybe she should tally up all the ways she contributed to the household. Child care alone is a fraction of what she is asking for. This is an extremely fair and reasonable ask.

Hi! You need to talk to an attorney that works with family law cases and explain to you the options in your state. I work in Florida and here adultery wouldn’t matter, it’s about what’s best for the children, the ability of either party supporting the other person and the need of the person requesting the support. But every state is different. Try to reach a marital settlement agreement prior to filing to avoid expensive legal fees. Divorce can be emotional but whoever stays calm wins. Stay calm…

Like I said, I work in this field. It depends on the jurisdiction. Here in Florida is an immediate arrest…no matter who is the aggressor.

Actually she may be arrested, it depends on the jurisdiction. I work with these types of cases all the time. Especially because she did it in front of a child.

I do divorces for a living in Florida. You need your attorney to file an emergency motion for temporary support. If she has not gotten served divorce papers yet this can be served along with the petition.. That will allow the attorney to get a hearing on the docket quickly so that you can start getting some money until the case goes to mediation…this is what usually happens in order to avoid trial. If mediation fails then a trial will happen. Good luck!

You both made mistakes, but it seems like she had emotionally checked out for a while, possibly because of her depression, but regardless. This is the time for you to work on yourself. Be a better person a better human and trust me the right person will find you once you’re ready. It will all work out. Forgive yourself and forgive her. Good luck!

You are on the right track, doing the right things with the exception of dating. You are just not ready. It’s a process and some people take longer than others. Better to hold off, keep working with your therapist and keep going to the gym. Don’t give up on yourself and work on accepting your reality and seeing how blessed you truly are. Are you healthy? Are you capable of working? Do you have a roof over your head? Sooo much to be grateful for! Once you turn into gratitude so much will shift in…

Alimony is optional, at least in the US. Attorneys see dollar signs and want to push for it. If it goes against who you are as a person, as the petitioner, you can decline it.

Absolutely there is! I have helped people get divorced within the last 15 years and I am touch with many of them and many of them have either found love or are blissfully happy being single. Me personally, I am in a beautiful relationship and we met when we were both 52. I have been divorced twice, him once and I have teenagers, adult children and a grandson, he never had children.

I don’t see the reply I wrote earlier, if she is not complying with court orders then your attorney need to file a motion of contempt of court. The motion needs to have specifics on how and when she did not comply.

When it comes to the financial responsibility yes, that’s all you can do. If there is anything in a court order that she is not following you will need to file a motion of contempt of court orders. Since you have an attorney he/she will need to do this for you, you will need to be specific in what ways she is not following orders, including dates.

File a motion or contempt to court orders and stipulate with dates every time she has deviated from the MSA. Call the court to find out what else you need to file to get a hearing with the judge. Do not, I repeat, do not stop paying child support.

Have you or your attorney filed an updated financial affidavit with your living expenses and the expenses they mandated you to pay and submit it to the court and ask for a hearing to modify the current order based on the new affidavit?
