OP, great, great post, one of the best in recent. IMO, what you're missing, ( and from reading your post, I'm guessing you don't even think about it because you have 💯internalized it) is that you have to approach this with absolutely ZERO neediness. A woman having a baby or planning a wedding is AT BEST using your office as a place to browse the internet while doing nothing productive. AT WORST, they are keeping everyone else from working as well. The funny thing is that post-wall women are generally pretty good workers.
