What evidence do you have that humans have always made porn?

Ok, you really don’t understand feminism or the patriarchy. Trust me, if I pay someone to let me shove my dick in them I’m exploiting them. You say I sound like I’ve had puritanical programming!? I’m absolutely not religious and all I have read to make me come to the understanding that porn is misogyny is literal feminist literature… lol Think about what your saying. You think it gives woman agency if I pay them to let me fuck them. That isn’t feminism, it’s the patriarchy reinforced by capitali…

Sex work and porn are inherently incompatible with feminism and reinforces the patriarchy. Fem dom etc also reinforces the patriarchy. What the science says is that porn is bad for everyone and no one should consume it. There is no ethical way to consume porn. There might be ways that are more ethical and where women have more agency but at the end of the day it is misogyny. Just the same as I believe there is no ethical way to consume sex work. I’m not a fool, I understand sex workers need prot…

Bro, even if you were the type of guy women wanted to hook up with it wouldn’t fix you. You would still have that empty feeling like something’s missing. At best the pursuit and obtaining of sex is a distraction from that feeling. Work on yourself and seek connection.

Mate, I think you’re focusing on the wrong shit. I’ve always had a lot of success in sleeping with women but most of those women are emotionally unhealthy and when I got through a hookup phase (especially on the apps) it’s always detrimental to my mental health. Ultimately for me, learning about misogyny and quitting porn (because it’s literally misogyny) and seeking out healthy interdependent relationships with women is good for my mental and emotional health. Why not try to be the best version…

I’m a 40ym and I see this topic come up more than I think it should. I have no kids of my own and that is because I have been careful not to. If it had ever gotten to the point where I was trying to get someone pregnant i would have to have a lot of trust in them. This would make the paternity test unnecessary. So the answer is to me it’s a non issue. I make sure I don’t get anyone pregnant unless I’m trying. If I’m trying I have vetted my partner and have trust. Easy solution.

Maybe it’s more of a case that arseholes will get away with what they can. Like, the more vulnerable the woman the more likely she is to experience abuse…

How?

I suspect the men who hate sex workers are misogynists in general and there hate towards sex workers is just more pronounced. Personally speaking as a man I have no hate towards sex workers. I have 2 female friends who are former sex workers but wouldn’t go further than friendship as I just couldn’t see it going well irl but that has nothing to do with there past just more about attachment styles.

Misogyny is core in our society most people, women included, have internalized a lot of misogyny and don’t even realize it unless they have done a lot of reading and worked on themselves.

It’s literally the actual science

The science does say any amount changes your neural pathways. Obviously the more you watch the more damage it does but ultimately it’s not good for anyone. I’m not making a moral judgment I just have a keen interest in neuroscience.

I believe there’s no way to ethically consume porn. As a male at 40 who had a 10 years off dating I can confirm porn has absolutely changed the way younger women have sex. Some of the hook ups I’ve had recently women definitely are way more into kink. Porn changes your neural pathways just like any substance. If you aren’t addicted then don’t watch it for 6 months… I bet you can’t.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
