I'm on the same boat as far as the humour goes. I'm considered the funny guy in almost every group and like you, for some reason, it would seemingly disappear around girls. The thing that is important for people like you and I is the second thing OP mentioned - Self Esteem. When you're with the boys you let all the humour out because you know you won't be judged. We both know that not everything we say is funny and sometimes we end up saying some dry ass jokes that everyone just sits there and g…

That's just them protecting their own insecurities. They know they should be eating healthy, dressing well and looking after themselves in general but they don't. Just to make it better, everyone around them is in the same boat so they think it's ok and is normal to be not taking care of yourself. Blissful ignorance. Then you show up and shatter their rose tinted mirrors and glasses. You show up looking and acting like how they wish they looked and acted. When they look around they can get comfo…

Yeah, Australian. And yea, 3/10 would not recommend train pick up especially during peak hours.

That's one I didn't think of. Could have whispered something in a way just she could hear, a sort of a "secret joke" thing. Thanks, will keep in mind for next time :)

Anything can be funny, you gotta be comfortable with yourself when you deliver it. I'm considered a "funny guy" and I think that reason I get that is because I genuinely say things that I find funny. When you start doing this, ALOT of times its dry as hell and it gets awkward. Sometimes it will piss people off. What you do next is the important part. When it's awkward, embrace it. Don't get fidgety, don't shrink, don't hide. If you actually find it funny, laugh even if others aren't. When they l…

I'm new to this but I've actually managed to get over the "being intimidated" part so I'll try and chip in. But as I said, very new to all of this (still majorly struggling with AA!) so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Anyhoo, one way you can look at it is, you're intimidated by her because you're comparing her looks to yours and it may be a case where it's a battle you can't win. But the thing is, you're not offering the girl physical attraction. You're offering her a fun experience,…

You make it sound like you have that worst face witnessed by humanity. There's a bloke out there who's got hair all over his face - literally everywhere - and he's married to a beautiful girl. But hey, yours could be worse. We don't know. Either way, as for your response, you make it at seem like everything about you is mediocre. Your body is "average", posture is "fine", physical behaviour "was better", clothes "were better", "used to wear scents". Alot of the comments you have are negative. Br…

Fuck's sake. OK, you seem to be hellbent on the idea that physical attraction is crucial. If looking attractive will fix your confidence, let's start there. Let's give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's say your face isn't attractive. You got unlucky in the gene pool so there isn't much you can do to change that. What about other parts of physical attraction? Is your body attractive? If not, there's no excuse for this. Do you have nice muscular biceps, triceps, a solid wide back, shaped chest, …

I was gonna say something along these lines. Once you reframe the past and look at mistakes and think "ok so what did I learn from this?", after that you will start seeing those mistakes in a positive light because that's when you grew as a person. I have made so many silly mistakes I could go on forever but that's how I avoid dwelling on them.

I can't remember where I read this (maybe Models?) but if you're a nice guy, you won't need to show it straight away. But you need to make a conscious effort to show that you also like to sex. Next time when you interact with a girl, show your sexual side first - flirt, sexual jokes, etc. One of my favourite ones is just to check her out and make it obvious so she knows you're doing it and when she asks "what are you doing?" just cheekily smile at her and say "what, I mean, you can't blame me". …

The Power of Now is probably one of the most transformational books I've read. Alot of it sounds hippy-ish but once you understand the concepts, it's amazing how receptive you become to everything around you because your head isn't in "what did I do just then" or "what will I do next" phase, just "what is happening now". As far as girls go, I suppose it will help because it will help you get rid of negative thoughts. Say you see a bangin girl, dressed immaculate and looks sophisticated. Not bein…

I'm an ex-asshole. I used to be in similar situations as you. Funny thing is, I'm still the same as far as my direct-ness in saying things but a simple tweaks I made turned me from being an asshole to being someone with a blunt way of saying things. Some things that helped me: Don't give out your opinion unless asked for it: If you know your opinion is going to be controversial, don't just bring it up unless someone explicitly asks you for it. If they ask and you respond bluntly, well, they aske…

That biking idea is great. Passion isn't something you have, it's something that grows. You just need to expose yourself to more things so you find out what interests you have. Look a bit deeper into some of those and you'll run into some things that you really like. Spend some time and effort into it and you may start being passionate about it. And I know what you mean about waking up from a gaming slumber - my life between the age of 14 to about 18/19 was just one thing - Runescape. I stopped …

How long have you been going gym for? Depending on your starting point, you'd need at least 6 months of good work to get results that you can be proud of. A well built physique is the first status symbol and it is a very easy way for girls to see that you value and take care of yourself. If you didn't, you wouldn't have spent so much effort on yourself. As for the video games bit, I don't know if playing games are hurting your chances as much as the lack of a productive hobby is. Other than game…
