They are but in documentaries and stuff like that they get their name explicitly mentioned e.g. This group did horrible atrocities such as killing women and children. Disagree, may be the way I was brought up but I think being able to mix with both genders if beneficial both sides and makes talking to either a normal conversation. If you barely talked to women or men because your life was busy it would be awkward trying to know what (broadly women or men like) if the incidents start getting out of control then yes we should do something but I think being raised with both genders is better
