What upsets me is being called a rape apologist. That these people are just steam rolling my original topic and forcing "the message" down my throat. Fun fact. I agree with the message, I just think MRE shouldn't have waited to take credit for the act.

This is such a shallow and pathetic attempt at activism. MRE didn't even own up to those posters right away. Putting up 12 posters 12! Is not activism, it's one person with a color printer. People laugh at MRE because what do they do? They take stupid pictures while wearing a sandwhich board. They stand on the side of the road wearing that same board. Putting posters up in secret, not going through the proper channels to even get those posters put up. Those were key mistakes. From what I can gather these posters popped up overnight posted on private bulletin boards. If MRAs want to be taken seriously then they have to start doing things properly. Again I touch on the fact that nowhere on the posters does it give any contact info or even a website.

Edmontonian here. Feminists weren't the only people outraged. How can you expect to be taken seriously when the groups advocating men's rights are doing everything in secret? Where on the poster does it give you any information on where to go for more information? No websites or phone numbers. Mensrightsedmonton didn't immediately own up to the posters either. An "unofficial" spokeswoman eventually stood up, but the interview with her felt more like a "hey look I'm on tv!" situation than anythin…
