A nihilistic view when we talk about a possible innate desire (just fucking, not mentioning raising a child or sacrificing yourself for your child when it is in danger), but not when you talk about your happiness. Then it's a measure of all and an absolute refusal to live life in any oother way. Wasn't it just someting you can just change if need be?

So can I conclude: You can also die without fulfilling your meaning of happiness. The endresult has nothing to do with a potential innate desire for something. Just like your happiness. I don't see how this is an answer to the question if meaning if based on an innate desire. Even with all those shitty fathers, mothers and fucked up kids, they keep coming. There seems to be a common innacte desire to reproduce. Doesn't it? I think that how you (we) view the world and what you (we) would like it …

I'd say we are born with a preset path to reproduce. What do you think?

You are forcing a statement into our conversation. I'm not asking you about the response of women. I'm glad that you agree that the meaning in life can vary for individuals. Two questions: Do you think that for a group a general meaning can be found? For men seeming to be family or something of equivalence. Based on your latest respons you state that 'meaning in your life' is something you can rationally decide on and change. How come? It can't be innate?

I'm glad that you can determine wat a meaningful life is to you. And to act and decide in your day-to-day with that in mind. Do you agree that 'a meaningful life', varies from person to person?

When you say '...My long term partner brings meaning to my life but so do my friends...', I read that they bring happiness in your life. Based on our conversation so far, it seems to be that your meaning in life is to be as happy (or at least as content) as you can be. Which translates to havingful meaningful relations with your partner and friends, also your career and hobbies and so forth. Am I understanding you right?

What I am trying to say with party important, is that you are seemingly able to find meaning in more places then one. However, with your use of the word 'happiness' instead of meaning, I wonder, if with the word 'meaning' we are working with a similiar definition. Because I would say that doing things that make you happy, does not neccessarily mean that you are living a meaningful life.

I don't have a solution. I don't even have an understanding yet of the 'why' men need a partner and a family to have a meaningful life. I also don't have an understanding of why you consider it ony partly important and have the ability to find meaning in other things.

Because you can't imagine it, doesn't mean it isn't so. There is a struggle where mean are struggling to find meaning, leading to violence. And all you can react with is some kind of revenge power fantasy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
