The difference is that he's already won her over and that Eve is by no means "mediocre". He didn't disobey on "her whims", he did on his own whims.

No. Because she's the only woman and mother of mankind, hence her inherent value cannot be measured. Not to mention, she was once a part of Adam. Adam clearly has the upper hand and doesn't need to act submissive or try to win her over.

No. Eve tried to deceive Adam but Adam was NOT deceived by Eve. He knew what he was getting into and did so anyway because he couldn't bare to be apart from her.
