and his fetish is "preggoporn", apparently? I really can't with these people...

I was referring to bestiality & pedophilia, but maybe some consider them more a 'sexual orientation'..? He called them fetishes, tho. Yeah.

When I was 20, I fell in love with a dude who, as I later discovered, had one of the two most awful fetishes imaginable (yes. yes.). He left that shit on his computer and then started trying to get me 'into it', I was completely mortified. I know there are 'less severe' fetishes, but I'm always scared of getting someone like that again, because this stuff can be really scarring to everyone involved, most fetishists don't seem to care much about consent at one point.

This is such a cute story, thank you for being a great human & saving her life!

Yeah.. don't hamster too much, please. I work in a grocery store, and the only problems we have are because of the panic buyers, nothing else. Old people that need it the most cannot buy toilet paper or soap because the 'preppers' took it all. You should take this disease seriously, but this is not Tschernobyl or something. Please everyone, be reasonable and also think of others during these times. You will not starve.

I think this is just a lifestyle question? I know far more dudes that smoke and drink (regularly) than women, more women that work out or do regular sports, more women with emotionally healthy connections and a stable social life, more women that eat healthy and actually watch their diets... Most people I know that already complain about their health at my age are men, so this does not actually surprise me.

Ugh. I had someone talk to me like that who ended up assaulting me in his flat while I was sleeping. But I probably just watched too much 'serial killer shit'. Funny that he thinks this is going to get him a date, though.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I cried reading this because I can relate to it a lot; at least my stepmom did not dare to burn stuff from my mother. I can't offer advice but my heart goes out to you & I can truly understand your concerns.

If all women had standards like this, no one would be dating anyone.

This made me really sad for some reason; I don't want this in my life ._.'

Ugh, the texts and the use of smileys.. not even nice 'nice guy' who'll turn even more shitty after having sex with him. Or, best case, just disappears.

Saw this on a train once. Imagine women doing shit like this publicly... also, why would you want to live in a society where this is normal? Ugh.

When I was 22 and in kind of a bad place, I started dating a 37 y/o dude. No issues in the beginning, he was nice, courted me, got along with my friends and seemed to have his life together. To cut it short, after like six months tables turned quite a bit and he started controlling me, which escalated into him breaking my nose, choking me/sitting on my neck (and I really thought he'd kill me, he was like 6'5" and quite muscular) and tried to isolate me from everyone, even my family. He continued…

It baffles me that they call this 'game'. I had PUAs hit me up on the street with shit like this, and these 'negs' they use always just make me think that they're mentally ill.

This might sound pathetic but I think this subreddit and thereby finally taking action for myself during a bad break up and Uni exams really helped with my depression; so yes, definitely!

This is just awful and makes me angry. My ex used to shame me for not always being '100% smooth' (more like 1000%, it just is not possible for me 'all the time' unless I'd remove my genitals). Needless to say, his dick was the smallest I had up to date & he had hypospadias - of course I never said a word. Go figure why they do this..

Wow. Had that exact conversation with my last date, it went downhill really fast and exactly like this, but after the meal thing he asked for a 'sauna-date'. Yeah thanks, but no thanks; good job on your part!

Umm. I'm sorry but I think there is more to this story than "making a man the center of your universe"; it does not sound like this woman is mentally well.

Seconding the David Burns recommendation; really amazing books that helped me to integrate strategies from cognitive behavioural therapy into my life and made me feel better about myself.

Kudos to you for keeping your frame and not giving in to his! You are strong. You have some tough times ahead, but don't go back to him, don't text him, don't take any step into his direction. This person is toxic. You will find love and you deserve it. I wish you all the best!

This is not a relationship at all. Don't kid yourself and stop wasting your precious time. Keep your head up; you can do this! From what you've been telling us, he seems disgusting and useless in the relationship department, anyway.

Thank you Zegiknie, I enjoy your posts here a lot, so I was really happy you replied! :) The thing with the covert contract is sadly true; I guess I expect way too much without them ever signaling me these things. And yes, I probably vet really bad and in the end still get blinded by looks and nice words, nice dates, urgh... especially in the last case I excused a lot because he grew up in an abusive home and I thought, this and that is because of it, so I better not judge... But you are right, …
