Well, that's true 99% of the time. But weird things can happen between conception and birth. Hence transgendered people, etc. But for the purposes of what I meant, you're not wrong. I should have said, "wouldn't be able to tell the gender definitively [etc.]".

I was referring to the comic being inaccurate genius. Fetuses don't really 'decide' their gender until ~9 weeks? (not positive). The point is it's well after "a few weeks [in the womb".

I think situations with celebrities, like this, stem from the wives being viewed as victims. Are they victims? Maybe. Is the crime punishable by the common "half your stuff/worth" probably not. But he's just one man, a statistical anomaly, as it were. There's whole bunches of these people out there, apparently. Note: I'm a firm believer that people are much more true to themselves on the internet, what with millions of miles of cable separating them from most of their action's consequences. Well in fairness I'm equally referring to bat-shit crazies from either side. But part of the college experience is learning that not all battles need be fought, and you should be especially careful not to fall on your sword. I gave up dealing with people like this barely into my sophomore year. It just wasn't worth the time. Others (not those I was arguing with) respected me for it in the long run.

Right, but in these analogies the direction matters. Hand is to palm as foot is to sole. (or whatever you call the bottom of your foot.) Palm is the 'underside' of your hand. Same for sole and foot. If you said: Hand is to palm as sole is to _____. Anything that has a sole could fit there, foot, shoe, whatever. The analogy is just "B is some part of A, therefore A is some part of B." It's not the same thing without considering the direction of the comparison.

Actually if you extend what you said to the analogy form (which most people do subconsciously) you're basically saying: Feminism is to evolution as [all that stuff OP said] is to religion. Well yea, that's the entire point of the alpha man-child mentality, women are things. I'm just not seeing why you're surprised it was used here to describe that very being. She's not commenting on the women who are being pumped and dumped when using the phrase, that's what the rest of her post was for. I think what she's saying is that her son has the option, but he's not making the first move (maybe because he doesn't have to), as opposed to the "sluts" she refers to, that actively seek numerous sexual partners. I mean, is it the pot calling the kettle black? Maybe. Her claim is that essentially, women who do this are far more likely to be ruined from a marriage perspective, as where men are not. I don't agree that men have it any easier in this regard. I don't equate any of the skills/traits…
