Don't get me started on "I was going to ask you out to celebrate this occasion before you questioned me on the same day, an hour before we were going to do it! You ruined the surprise and now you're angry!"

I was shocked myself when the hair started growing on toes and feet, that I started feeling like Frodo from lotr. It's so ingrained in us that we have to be hairless. Even when I found myself embracing my yeti spirit in autumn and winter – once the dress season started, I couldn't fathom walking with hairy legs. I'm okay now with walking with hair'ish hands. But legs? I feel like they must be hairless to be socially acceptable.

For me, it's very easy to forgive and forget the bad behaviour. So I also started keeping a secret journal where I'd write things as they happened and how I felt, what I thought at that moment. Not long ago I was pretty much okay with how I felt in the relationship. Both of as don't like confronting each other so when there were minor arguments, they never escalated into fights. But it wasn't good. There was only bare minimum with scattered flags throughout the relationship. So this journal help…

If a man genuinely loves you he will be more concerned in spoiling you ❤️

What if he said that you are the love of his life but didn't want to buy any presents/gifts (not on holidays or birthdays) because you would get too spoiled? ;)

When I was studying in university I literally told my (then) boyfriend that my first priority is school work. He just had to accept that.

I think I've been doing this without even knowing. I start of by opening up about stories that won't hurt me if they are leaked. After a year I may share a semi-vulnerable experience. Then year after year I may share something more. I can only start trusting someone who I have known for more than a year. It helps me by not getting too emotional attached at the start. So this strategy is a life saver.

I got confused for a second thinking I wrote this. At first we got to know each other, our interests. Mainly we talked about experiences and told stories (but there's a finite amount of it). Then we took an interest in each others hobbies and interests. It was great the first 3 years. There was everything I hoped for - the support, the kindness, the chemistry, the affection, the way we interacted with each other. Eventually, we ran out of things to talk about. Our interests rarely aligned. He ac…

I agree with picking up convo from the previous day. It's much more interesting to expand than to start a new convo with basic chit chat - good morning, how did you sleep etc. It's sweet at first but then you realize it doesn't offer anything much.

I completely agree with you. And I'm going through it myself. Everytime I show more love or pamper him more, prioritized him for a longer period of time, he would stop initiating love gestures himself. That's when I start prioritizing myself and my goals and hang out with other people more. Now the cycle begins where he becomes the one who shows affection. It's odd.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
