Right, but the study is relying on people coming forward about their depression. Boys often refrain from this as they are shamed and face repercussions for speaking out.

How would you know, men don't come forward about attempted suicide or a plan to do it. They get shamed if they do, or even punished!

Yeah, I was at school and the guidance counselor told me to man up when I (I have anxiety disorder) had a panic attack and felt depressed cause people laughed at me and sent me back to class. A girl walks in right after me and gets to call home because kids were picking on her
