In Quebec, in order to have more women in the construction industry, they changed the rules and women don't have to go to school to be an ELECTRICIAN!!!! We still have some women students in the electrical department, at the trade school, but I really think this is a bad decision.

I think that the boomers have lived through very different things than most of us. Womens rights have greatly evolved since they were born and maybe their reference point is a time when men were clearly on top. Which would make those jokes funny, because it's not their "reference point".

I think her point is that men don't understand why WOMEN would be afraid to lose their rights. ... not that men don't understand when they're losing their own rights.
