Finally, A reasonable take on this sub.

I think having more hobbies that aren't stereotypically 'male' helps a lot because they bring emotional fulfillment in the areas of a guy's life where there usually aren't socially-approved ways alternatives (like community, some degree of emotional closeness, etc) The red pillers usually try to exploit these areas unfortunately, and most men kind of stay there because there isn't anything better unless you go against the grain and make it happen from the ground up- or you make a lot of friendsh…

Considering that the patriarchal social hierarchy places any men above any woman, wouldn't that make any man 'powerful' from the viewpoint of a woman?

I honestly don't know if y'all are flirting or fighting.

I thought some more about your response and I apologize for being a bit mean in mine. Yes, there is a bit more ease for men since most of the women they meet are looking for a relationship, but that doesn't justify a lack of willingness to commit or choosing to lead women on.

I think so too- which makes finding and getting into a relationship a worthwhile endeavor.

Men on this sub, or on dating-related subreddits aren't really a good model for how dating works for men as a whole in my opinion. If a guy treats a woman with respect and helps her feel safer around him by consistently showing that he is safe through his actions, it's not very difficult for him to find love if he wants it. This is true even if he doesn't commit. It's quite easy to get into multiple quasi-relationship friendships as a guy- much easier that it is for women at least.

When I say support, I mean being able to be emotionally supportive. Just because a man is liberal doesn't mean that he has the capacity to do this. Not to mention, there are a lot of men out there who are liberal, but still abuse women behind closed doors. Women still are a bit wary around guys due to this- even if they might be slightly more open to giving a liberal man a shot over a conservative one.

Honestly, the reason most men struggle with this is due to patriarchy. If we were more supportive of each other, it would be easier to develop personalities that were attractive to women- since we would support women by extension. You often have to look to avenues that aren't male centric to develop those skills.

I agree with most of that you said, except with the part about men self-deleting because of feminism. I'd say that it's more due to archaic gender roles that result in men being extremely dependent on women emotionally for human connection(non-sexual). Feminism has done more to try to fix this issue than men as a whole have. We are just now starting to see men question those roles as a group in ways that they hadn't previously.

Maybe the solution then is to not go out of your way to talk to women, but to just talk to women you meet on your way to doing something. Also, I think men are socialized to think that when they give their attention to someone, it is inherently sexual in nature- which is why we often don't give it to other men. It's something that needs to change. It would be nice to have fulfilling relationships of any sort these days- because dating just aint it lol.

I know. I'm just saying that if you know how to start a conversation with a guy you don't know without referencing his looks, you could probably do the same with a woman you don't know.

Out of curiosity, when you start a conversation with a guy, do you compliment his looks?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/25 12:56 AM

No, but it is the first time I've talked to you, and these are my honest views on the matter.

The fundamental issue is that women feel unsafe around men- and for good reason. The issue isn't building attraction. Frankly, flirting and game are things that a guy should work on after learning how to be safe by women's standards.

That's mostly jealousy on the part of men. They can't find it as easily as a woman can, so they get upset and shame women for taking up easy opportunities if they choose to do so. Funny enough, if they simply encouraged it, it would probably be easier for guys to find as well, but a lot of guys aren't thinking that far ahead lol. I honestly think that in a world where men acted better towards women, and therefore found it easier to have these experiences, it would be easier for women to find rel…

What is it about casual sex then, that makes it degenerative?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/25 12:43 AM
8

When women abstain from casual sex, I usually read that it's because it's: a) a lot riskier for them b) less fulfilling for them c) a lot of work to vet someone who won't stick around Why is it considered self-discipline when it reads more like being discouraged from casual relationships by the behavior of men?

And not wanting to be part of the problem by looking for sex through escorts, And making sure that they are capable of handling the domestic labor in the household And treating women with the same amount of civility that they would treat men And being engaged fathers, so the weight of parenthood doesn't fall solely on the mother, And calling out other men when they have misogynistic views on women And not committing acts of violence against women. And making sure that they don't set up barriers …

It would probably be better for society if men did that and it would probably make it easier for women to find relationship... Why do you think men are hesitant to wait for marriage or a serious relationship to have sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 10:28 PM
-1

I think the lack of ease in being able to find casual, short-term arrangements is what drives men to look to pay for it more than a lack of care. If men behaved better towards women as a whole, it would probably be easier for them to find such arrangements for free, or for very little cost, which would eliminate the demand for sex workers (and ergo trafficking).
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 10:22 PM

That's based on the idea that something must go into something else for it to be counted as sex. Two women can scissor and if they both consider it to be sex, who are we to say it isn't?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 10:14 PM

I'm not red pill, but I am curious- How do you think a guy should approach sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 09:41 PM

I think that'a a bit of an oversimplification. Men used to fight, kill, and enslave each other, and sexually assault women at a much higher rate in the past than they do now, so it makes sense that a lot of men didn't make it. For that reason, I don't think it's a 1-1 comparison.

I feel this. I'm a sub as well and I sometimes wish I wasn't. It's already hard enough with the domme shortage. I get that they have their pick of the litter, but it's so disheartening to see how many of them treat guys if given the opportunity.

That's the thing though. It isn't a fundamental life experience. It's a life experience... but your life won't change drastically just because you've experienced it. That comes from taking the time to sit with your pain and coming to terms with it. Take it from the women who have tried this path you want to go down. It's much easier for them to try to make it happen, but the ones who actually heal usually do because they chose to get off this path and work through their trauma through self-care,…

One, I would say that you are looking for a resolution to such a traumatic event through another person- and that's what makes this event disempowering. Yes, if you do have sexual experiences, they should ideally be positive... but let me ask you this. If women as a gender disappeared tomorrow, how would you overcome the current problems you are dealing with right now? You have to believe that you can overcome this on your own and when you believe that, you will find a way. There is no point in …

That's the issue man. You are basing your self worth on something external to you (whether or not a woman wants to have sex with you), rather than on something internal (and therefore achievable on your own). It puts you on a perpetual chase of the approval of a woman who has done nothing to deserve it and sets you up to have your soul crushed if you aren't able to achieve it. It also makes a healthy relationship impossible because you have given up so much of your power to a person for no reaso…

Truthfully, that advice is still useful for you, but later on down the line when you are getting attention from the women around you. I would focus on the advice which teaches women mental models that raise their self esteem and helps them set better boundaries. In your case, those mental models will raise your self esteem to the point that you pique the interest of the women around you and you draw those women to you. It will also make you a better able to handle yourself in a relationship by a…

I'm sorry you experienced that man. I honestly think men should just adopt the advice given to women in instances like this. It may not have been given to us directly, but it's good advice nonetheless.

A lot better. I basically made all my social media give me stuff from women's culture and fixed a decent number of my mental health issues and learn a lot of skills That gave me the springboard to build relationships with other people.

Women like men who are kind (and not in a monetary way) to them and will get into relationships with such men. You'd be surprised how difficult that is to find for them. Women even have a term for such a man- a "good" man.... simply because they are few and far in between. If you want a relationship, just focus on becoming someone who is kind to them. Id recommend learning about ways that women are disadvantaged by their gender in our society and making changes to the way you do things. I promis…

I am Indian American, so I have talked to women from other cultures and they are the same. They are like that in the US too- and I don't mean the ones who are well-to-do financially... Just go outside my guy. You can see women working literally anywhere you go. Frankly, I find that if women don't work/don't work in certain career fields, it's due a lack of opportunity due to baked in sexism in the laws and cultures of the societies they are in.

Most of my friends for a while have been women and my guy, none of this is true. Women like men who get more in touch with their feminine side -what you call domestication- because they want someone they can converse with about their emotions and vice versa. If you pick up those qualities, you become a hot commodity among women simply because so few men elect to do so. I learned to do it by getting my tiktok algorithm to give me content normally meant for women. It was an ugly process- mostly be…

It's not so much that they will disappear. It's recognizing that acting on those elements of human nature ultimately hurts everyone in the long run. You end up with highly individual-based societies rather than ones based on community. The thing about that kind of mindset is that it eventually permeates into every relationship a person has. There's a reason there is male loneliness epidemic, but not a women's equivalent. Women figured this out a long time ago and built systems on the scale of th…

That's the thing though. It never had to be a competition. In fact, I hesitate to use the word competition and would prefer to call it theft. It's just one or more people stealing from the individuals who actually did/do the labor and claiming that they were morally decent for doing so. The only reason they did this was because they didn't want to do the work themselves. If instead, people chose to work with each other rather than against other people for their own personal benefit, we wouldn't …

Ancient men murdered and enslaved each other at rates far worse than the men of the current day do. In my opinion, wanting to kill and subjugate someone isn't a sign of good mental health. It's an inability to live in peace and prosperity, which ought to be the goal. We need a remedy for this because men have put each other through far too much for far too long to not take an opportunity to have something better.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/01/25 01:40 AM

What would you say is the difference between the two? I agree that the world before was vastly different than the world now, but the men of back then learned how to be men by the adult men of their time just as we do now.

We descended from men who were taught that there was no other option. They literally didn't have access to the community and the knowledge that would have allowed them to be emotionally healthy. We are in a far more fortunate situation than they ever were. I honestly think that the men of today have an obligation to be emotionally healthy for the men of the past who weren't as fortunate.

I'd disagree. It's not worth suppressing your emotions and sucking the joy out of your life.
